Good Price?

Went in today to look at a new, white '11 Z. Base w/ Sport for $32,049.

Do you guys think I should bite? Any thoughts or input is appreciated.

good price

This looks like invoice.

Not sure where you are, but Ed Martin is the dealer in my area,

so you could compare there.

Its not a terrible deal, but you can definitely do better. If its an automatic, I would go no higher than 31.5k and if it is a manual, I would go no higher than 31k.

KyleBucket 02-19-2011 06:03 PM

It is for a manual. I'm located in Jersey/Delaware. I'll have to see what else I can do.

A sport is like 34,4 34,6. I think you got a really good deal there, the only other thing I see them taking off that pirce is dealer buy back, but they rarely do that. I got my Z brand new for about a grand below invoice but thats because I was good friends with him and the Z was the third brand new car I bought from him.

KyleBucket 02-19-2011 06:40 PM

Well, that's reassuring. We all originally thought it was a good price (a doctor I work with knew the owner) but I wanted to see what people thought on here.

What are you talking about? The sticker (MSRP) might be 34.5k, but that is certainly not near invoice. I don't know what the invoice price is for the 2011's, but here is the invoice for the same 2010 model.

Base w/ Manual: $28,099
Sport Package: $2,602
Total: $30,701

That's not including floor mats and little things like that, so it probably comes out to ~$31k. That's why I said go not higher than $31k because that is invoice. If you find a good dealer you could probably get 500 below invoice.

cfweber 02-20-2011 08:12 AM

comparison pricing

Don't forget dealer holdback. That 4 or 5 hundred is going to be paid on a new Z.

Invoice is about 31 grand, but once you add the seemingly unavoidable

little options and aforementioned dealer holdback, this is a very good deal.

In the real world the best you can do is shop regionally for the best price.

Nissan has raised there prices on the Z once again for 11, which is what he is looking at. The Z no longer starts under 30k anymore.

NCSUPACK09 02-20-2011 12:25 PM

^ Didn't know that, so thanks for the info

I doubt the price went up that much, but it sounds like the OP is getting a pretty fair deal.

KyleBucket 02-20-2011 01:18 PM

Yeah, it sucks. I really want to go for it but the monthly payment might be $40-50 out of my range. I know that's not a big number, but with what I'm making, it adds up.

NCSUPACK09 02-20-2011 06:42 PM

Just get a new 2010 then. Same car, but will be a good 2-3k cheaper! You should at least consider it :tiphat:

KyleBucket 02-20-2011 07:46 PM

I actually wanted to do that, I honestly don't want an '11 if I don't have to. But, unfortunately, there aren't many around here. My dream was the Touring w/ Nav, but I obviously couldn't afford that (if I couldn't afford Base/Sport) but I found this..

Cars for Sale: 2009 Nissan 370Z in East Brunswick, NJ 08816: Coupe Details - 292594181 - AutoTrader.com

That's in my price range if they give me 13K for my '08 Si. What do you guys think? The only concern is the 1 reported "rear impact accident." I understand you can report even the slightest fender benders but any accident is sketchy. Luckily, nothing that important in the back. Do you think I should be concerned?

here is WA

I bought my car in WA.
2011 370z
sports pakage
6 speed maunal trans
splash guard.

tax was 9.6%??? i don't remember exactly but it's about that

OTD price was 34,300,
only car price was 31,000.

dealer's invoice was about 32,214.
i think you should pay for it under 31k.
and include floor mat when you deal.
cause it's very useful!
i bought floor mat after buying the car.. so i paid another 85bucks for it!!!!

KyleBucket 02-21-2011 03:21 AM

Yeah, well, it's looking like used is more in my ballpark right now. It may allow me to get the touring with navi like I truly want, as well.
