Default Price discussion....Military program

Hi,

I am in the military and i found a website for ordering cars from factory and it was AutoExchangeOnline.com - Factory Authorized Overseas Military Distributor

I was trying to get 370z tourning convertible with nav but they said it comes with soft top only so i've decide to get a coupe instead because if it is the soft top some ******** can use knife and get in.

So i am looking at

2011 370Z tourning option navi
transmission=Manual
Exterior color=white
Interior color= persimmon

the price they offer me was $35,459 and she said it was the best price out of the us and tax wasn't included.........

I got a friend of mine in the army and he owns 350Z nizmo and he was saying when we go back from iraq to state (august) we could beat that price for $35000 OTD

So basically if i buy car from military website, i will have to pay total close to $38k (including tax) and i really do want to hear opinion and some advice from you guys because i will have to down payment and trying to save money as possible

she said i have to do it ASAP(as soon as possible) otherwise they will have to make 2012 - -;;

Should i wait until August or should i buy it now?

BTW i will be station in Taxas and i wouldn't buy car around army base duhh~ lol but probably buy car around dallas thats only if i don't buy car from this website

Also i do have another question that for i know 370Z has push button start but is it keyless start or no? like put the key inside my pocket and all i gotta do is push start and drive which i think its cool

I wouldn't let the site push you around. If i were you i would go to several other dealerships in person and see what they quote you and shop around. The bit about how you have to jump on it or you miss the deal is bull **** and just sounds like they are trying to hustle you. Hopefully one of the dealerships on the forums can chime in on this.

The 370z is a key-less system which does mean that you put the key in your pocket and then can press a button on the door to open and then again push the ignition button inside to start the car; as long as the key is in the car itself.

Good to see another service member on here. Best of luck to you!

I am also in the military and currently deployed in Afghanistan. I heard about the program too and thought i'd get an AWESOME deal! Unfortunately, after contacting them it wasn't what I thought. I know about the invoice price I can get and the military exchange runs off that price too. You do not get a huge discount.

I return a few months before the "year end" sales occur at dealerships and hearing about what others would get for the previous model definitely beats the military programs price. Plus, you can haggle when going to dealerships.

Whatever you are being told is a lie! You only have to throw down a small deposit and you can decide to continue with the deal or not even way after you redeploy and get a full refund. The car could be at the dealer for pick up and you can still decide to cancel and get a refund.

I am looking at getting stationed in TX too. With texas being a huge state and a other states you can drive too to get good deals, i'd shop locally first. You can do the price matching with the military program.

I hope it helps!

When I was in, I would treat the program as just another dealership and price shop my a$$ off. I never actually bought a vehicle through the program as I was able to get better deals from local dealerships! Good luck and thanks for serving!

The program is invoice pricing which can be beat. Since the program doesn't have a car lot all the cars bought through them are made to order. Nissan gives them a date that they can order that model year through (Aug). They ain't trying to push you just stating a fact. If you order after that date you would probably gat the same deal unless Nissan raises the invoice price. Also check USAA pricing if you are a member. They will even give you the name of the dealerships in that area that honor it.

Yeah I was told Hood is huge and that it has two commissaries. I have a mazda3 sedan. I need one for when my wife starts to live with me and goes to school. Although, I want to get stationed in Ft Sham Houston

I wouldn't mind riding a shuttle bus, but I prefer to live off post unless they have some nice convenient on base homes. Everyone can talk crap as long as they want to.

ASIANS ftw or

I am also set to redeploy august that's why I am looking at dealerships on year end sales

As far as anyone getting in with a knife, big deal. If they want to get in your coupe, they can just smash the windows.

I just bought mine from Auto Exchange.

The comment to shop around, you can't. You can't find US spec Nissan here unless it's through them while stationed in Germany. You have to also consider that price includes shipping to Germany. Yes, I paid 41,000 for a touring sport with nav. But 2500 of that price was shipping. It's shipped to the states from the factory and has to be shipped to Germany from the states using your orders to not pay customs and VAT.

If you know you are going to the states, then factory ordering is not for you. If you accept delivery in the states, you still have to pay taxes before you can drive it off the lot.

If you want more info, let me know.

Also,

This is not a military sales like it is with AAFES. this is an independent business that deals strictly with US SPEC cars and only to military so they don't have to pay any customs or taxes.
