Default Deal for 2010 370z at this time of year

I went to my local dealership the other day and asked for a 2010 auto base w/sports package. They said they can get one there the same day, and I eventually offered $31k OTD. The lowest they said they'd go was $35k OTD. Was I being a bit too ambitious? I believe their sticker price was either 34 or 35k. This is in SoCal btw.

I'm not sure what the taxes cost, but don't pay any more than 500 below invoice!!!!!!!!! Everyone wants to get rid of 2010s. If you need help locating the exact car near you, PM me and I can help you!!!!!!!!!

Taxes are a b!tch in Cali...I would try to get 32.5k-33k OTD. That would be somewhere between 1.5k-2k below invoice.

Honestly that 31k out the door pricing is unrealistic. Long Beach, CA has a sales tax of 9.75%. The invoice price of your car (base, auto, sport) is 33049. To hit 31k out the door including sales tax and registration fees you will need to drop them down to 28k flat before any fees. Look up true car to get at least some idea of what recent sales are like. Average transaction prices for your configuration are hovering at 32,500 before tax with another big spike at 31k flat. That 31k flat is essentially 2k off of invoice which dealers here are advertising. Depending on how canny of a negotiator you are, the sales at that particular dealership, and the phases of the moon, you can probably negotiate down to a 30k flat price by the end of the month. Nissan likes to trot out 500 cash backs during major holidays for the 370z. They did it for Memorial Day, then Thanksgiving, I expect one for Christmas. Even at 30k, out the door pricing will still be 33k for you. Pretty much exactly in the middle of your offer and the dealer's
