Talking Ready to buy a new 2010Z!

However...I am confused on what options I should pay for.

I want the roadster 6MT. Performance and a great sound system are important to me.

Is the touring model worth the extra $$$? What about the sport package?

I've never owned a vehicle with navigation, but am sure I would use it constantly because I am "directionally challenged". Is it worth it or should I just buy a Garmin?

I don't really care about leather seats. I've always had cloth. I live in SF and the car will be garaged at home.

I've also read about owners buying base and doing after market additions. Is this advisable?

What is the HomeLink® UniversalTransceiver?

What opinions can you share about the Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone System, 8-speaker Bose® audio system,XM® Satellite Radio system?

I guess my real question is if you are a Z owner, what features are you most happy with and what features do you wish you had purchased?

Thanks in advance.

I really suggest you do more research before you start asking all those questions.

As for your last question, I wish my car came with 400+ HP or at least a twin turbo setup from factory.

I say buy base and upgrade yourself, look at my albums.

Although, My advice is to buy the sport package at least, just for the syncro rev match. Wish I had it sometimes.....

1.) The Touring package is something you will probably want to skip if you want a great sounding system. It is more advised throughout the forums to purchase the base and then replacing all of the components (headunit, amp, speakers, sub) with aftermarket units. If you search, there is a lot of info on this.

2.) In regards to navigation, if you go with the aforementioned route and skip the touring package, you can opt for the Kenwood DNX line of headunits with built in Garmin GPS.

3.) The Homelink Transmitter is buttons on the rear-view mirror which can be programmed to open the garage, gates, etc. You can install this aftermarket as well, search. VICTORxSE has a tutorial in the DIY forum on how to install this on a non-touring car.

4.) The BOSE unit is decent, better than the base unit. However, it is not nearly as good as quality aftermarket components. It is good if you want to simply leave it be, but if you want any sort of great sound, skip it and go base + aftermarket.

5.) I'm not an audiophile so my sound system was not that important to me. I wanted the sport package for the bigger brakes, bigger wheels so that is the option that most appealed to me, and therefore I purchased it.

Hope this helps in your decision!

You want to get sports package at the very least. I regret not getting it.

The other features depend on how much work you're willing to put into the car yourself.
