Default Please help me price this 2009 370z

ok,
I found a 2009 370z base +sport.
One owner, 20k miles, 6spd, 70% left on tires. Dealers says it hasnt been driven hard due to its smooth transmission... wants $27,500. Said he would drop it $100-200 if it would get my business. drive-out around $29k

I was hoping to drive out paying 27-28k....regardless of it being this car or not.

I was hoping to trade my car in for about 6k and put 2-5k down, with a 3.99% 60mo loan, my payments will be pretty low.

I checked both edmunds and kbb. they were several grand off from each other.

Think this is possible?

Thanks in advance for your help.

thats the exact description of the car i just bought last week but has a few mods. stillen intake, springs, oil cooler, front and rear sways but i paid 26,200. they were asking 27,900 marked down from 28,900. this was in the austin area, well in San Marcos. find out if they got it in on trade or bought it at an auction. they may be burried to deep in it if they paid to much taking it in on trade or they may have a lot of room to move if they werent so nice to the guy who traded it in. if they got it from an auction they probably only paid 23-24,500 with those miles. i can look up the vin and see what it sold for at auction if thats where they got it.

heres the VIN: JN1AZ44E29M404899

It looks like they bought it from an auction. are there any disadvantages from buying a car that was put up for auction?

not really. it could have been traded in to a high end dealer that doesnt want to deal with the hassle of trying to sell the car or could be a repo. there are a number or reasons cars go to the auction. if it is an auction car they have more power to not bury themselves in the car with how much they pay so imo they should be able to go lower.

thanks man.

I've been trying to get them to go down, but the seem somewhat unresponsive. They dont seem to want to let it go for more than a few hundred under their asking price. I countered with $26,224.

I dont mind waiting, but for the color(silver, PG or white), 6spd trans and sport package, they are not easy to come by... Especially used and for the price i want.

Are you able to check on the price they paid for it at auction? That might give me some more bargining room....

so it looks like it sold at auction for 24,900. and they have to pay a 500 auction fee so they are in it at least 25,500 or so and they would need to make at least a grand or more depending on the market for the car in your area. this gives you some insight on what to offer. since they just got it they may be willing to hold onto it for a while, i got a good deal because it has been at the dealer for 3-4 months. good luck

No, the way your describing it, sounds... very bad. A used one down here would be 24k for a '09. Nismos are what an '10-'11 base or sprtpck would be.

I would recommend to continue searching web sites for some deals and maybe take whats out there back to your dealer to get a better deal.

I'm looking at one down in So Cal at Power Honda Valencia. $27,994 Black 6MT, Sport & Nav. 8942miles. for a 2009. If you don't mind the black, it's a pretty good deal.

houston has a big market for sports cars, there is a lot of money in houston and that drives the market a little higher. you may want to look in smaller cities that cant move a car like that as easy.

so, i sent the dealer a few links to other cars in the area and mentioned the auction price, Hopefully he bites.

I was considering a black car but they are soo hard to keep clean. I think this time, im going to have to be picky when it comes to color, trans and sport....I dont mind driving a few hours to pick one up(the car mentioned is in dallas) but local would be best

i might just have to wait a while til one pops up....just hopefully not too long, i got the itch!

I'd ask for lower. A dealer in Dallas was selling a 2009 Black on Black 6MT SPORT + TOURING at a sticker price of $26,991 with 22k miles. Too bad it got sold when I got there -_-.

just wait. i understand more about the itch more then most. im 27 and have owned about 35 vehicles, i kinda have a sickness. get the color and options you want or will not be happy and regret it. there are plenty of cars out there that will match what you want just keep looking.
