yah they're fuckers like that. im trying to get numbers too. i have been offered a nothing down, 15k miles a year, 36 months for 640 including tax. which is absurd!

no one is willing to give me residual/MF numbers. they're just bullshitting trying to get me to go in.

try "leasecompare.com" to see residual. i believe it's 58%

while the residual is 58% most dealers are basing monthly payments on a residual of around 40%. This essentially means you are paying off 60% of the car in 3 years. At that pace you might as well buy it and have the same monthly payments just over 5 years instead of 3 but now you own it! I ended up buying the car even though I was set on leasing because the dealerships really just don't want these cars back. They know it is going to be put to the test (most of the time by kids) and reselling is hard unless they have alot of room in the price to work with. Which is why when you pay off 60% of the car and turn it in they can mark it up to its 58% residual value and drop prices from there if they have trouble selling. Best of luck in your car search!

I was offered 39 months at 499 a month with a residual of $21,300. This was with 3000 down.

Edit: Would help if i gave the car specs lol. It was a touring with nav, no sport package. MSRP was around 38,000

Yeah, that's what my 3 grand was basically for. Taxes, liscensing and processing fees.

so theoretically I could probably by in the low 400s lease wise, since your car would be about 5k more then a base with sport pkg. no?

Yes, you can deffinately get it down to the 400 range if it's just the base+sport.

I can only give you my Residual, which was 21,300 and this was after they discounted the price to what they claimed was 74 dollars above invoice, which was nearly 2000 below MSRP of 37,800. I will dig up the offer sheet for the hard numbers later, once i'm no longer a slobering idiot that wants nothing more than to go back to bed.

I have a contact at a dealer and I know first hand what the residuals and money factors are. Residual on the base and sport package is 60% for 36 months and 59% for 39 months. The touring was 56% for 39 months and I believe 57% for 36 months. Money factor is horrible at .00325 or 7.8%. I was offered a sign and drive lease on a base for 39 months for $475 a month with tax with not one red cent due at signing. I have countered that offer with $475 inclusive of tax. They have agreed to invoice pricing but the BS dealer fees are increasing the monthly payment.
