I've always refused to pay the destination charges. Haven't had to pay them yet.
But anyway, I agree with the above post. If you tell them your price is, say, $32 k for example, they will try to get $34k out of you figuring you left in some wiggle room. My very last car negotiation went weeks over $300, but they eventually came down to my price.
