Hey Lou,
Are these VPP programs like a plague to car dealers?

I've called several dealerships looking for a Z, once I inform them my company participates in the VPP, it's the last I hear from them. Am I missing something here? Should I be dealing directly with the dealership's manager? What's the best way to proceed?

Thanks for your help,
Cheech

Cheech,
They are not a plague; some dealers are lazy. There are a few extra hoops you have to go through to get reimbursed from Nissan. So a lot sales people and sales managers don't like to deal with it.

Honestly, with the new VPP discounts, you can get a better deal on here then going VPP.

To bad most of these VPP discounts don't help when Nissan has big sales on vehicles. Like my Titan, 10k off from the dealer and Nissan combined. VPP couldn't touch that and could not be added.

Thanks Lou, problem is, the vehicle and options I would like, appear to be very rare, not sure why?

Touring Coupe, Sport & Nav, 6MT, Platinum Graphite (Gun Metal), w/ black or charcoal interior.

I don't see what makes this car so hard to come by, very strange.

Anyways back on topic. It must be laziness. I finally nailed down one of the dealers to provide a quote on the vehicle. It took a several phone calls, and a little guilt trip

I would be interested to see what pricing I can get from here.

Cheers.

There are two Zs with your desired configuration in Texas (Houston/Grapevine area, I think). I turned them down and decided to do without NAV.

Lou,
That would explain a lot!

Fins,
Could you pm me with the dealer name please? I've searched just about all the nissan dealerships in the Houston area without success.

Thx

No problem guys. I haven't bought my car yet so I don't have first hand knowledge. I got the claim form and hope to visit a participating dealer shortly to see how it goes.

Hey anybody with VPP... they're offering "Employee Pricing" to every VPP group. So my normal $150 off invoice is now $1500 off.

SOLD

Just to let everyone know, I will certainly honor VPP pricing if you are in the NE, but there aren't many Zs available! I have 2 silver and 1 gunmetal base 6 speed with sport pckg and 1 6 speed touring roadster with navigation and sport Black Cherry, Bordeaux and wine!

Default I used this program.

I purchased my Z using this program along with the ZAG American express benefits as well. Was able to purchase my Z Base with sport package, tire locks, carpeted trunk / premium floor mats etc for 31K base before trade in.

It looks like the A-Plan normally is available only to Nissan employees. But, for Sep/Aug there was a special deal where the A-Plan ($1500 off invoice) was available for family and friends of Nissan employees. According to my friend who works for Nissan, it has ended . I want to buy a 370z starting first thing 2012, but i assume at that point the C-Plan is the only one available. Which i still think is a good deal.

Any Infinity dealerships participating in VPP? I'm looking at getting an FX35 in the near future.
