Anyways, I noticed some used 350z's selling for the 26k-28k range, and was hoping i could jump on a 370z sport(at least) sometime soon for that price.

I currently own a 2005 mazda 6 Grand touring(fully loaded) worth about 9-11k, just paid off today. So jumping into another car payment right now is really hard to swallow. My plan is to save more than the previous car note each month for a while to save up for more of a down payment and emergency fund, ect...

I guess my questions is, do you guys predict the 370z's cost to follow suit with the 350z?

Thanks!

I didn'y buy my Z for resale anyway. I always thought the 350z was so sexy but i was wrapped up in DSM's at the time and couldn't see myself gettign a RWD sports car in Alaska. Now that I own a 370, I can't see owning a AWD sports car again. I'm loving this car even though I only drive it 5 months out of the year.

All cars depreciate, but that KBB estimate for 2+ years seems way off considering what 350s are selling for + what they originally went for.

thanks for the info guys. I was probably wrong by putting the depreciation values on my original post. The cost of the car based solely on depreciation was not my original intent.

All i really wanted to know is if you see the 370z prices matching(or close to matching) the used 350z prices? I know there are certain variables that come into play such as model level, ect.

Hopefully in maybe a year, i was wanting to purchase a 2010 or 2009 370z base+sport with low mileage for around 28k drive out?

IMO, I think you can do better than that. In fact some of the guys here bought their new 2010 370Z base 6MT for 29k. You should try to sell your mazda now, unless you can save more/faster than the rate of depreciation of your mazda. Use that as down payment, finance the rest at low 3.5% (rates may increase the next year or two).

I was going to try to save at least 1k per month over the next few months. Plus I have to make sure my new job position will hold at the salary rate that i want. Worst thing would be to buy the car and then have no job. I have perfect credit so financing right now is 3.99apr, hopefully by xmas, it will stay the same or close to.

so, to get a 2009 or 2010? aren't there a few differences?
