You're one weird bird. You ask US to buy YOU a Carfax report after you drop 80 large on a car?

dealerships have started using autocheck more than carfax lately. Just thought i`d let you know. I believe autocheck is also more consistent than carfax.

Looks like you may of been ripped off. Tell you what, I'll give you $25K for it.

Kidding...nice ride man. All you need now is to start the mods!

haha! no worries man, thanks for the complement. I wanna feel the car before the mods. well this clears the issue at carfax, only minorabout transfering the car dealer to dealer and the mileage is written all over it.

We used it because it is cheaper. CarFax got cocky and became very expensive. They charged dealers alot to use the service. Auto Check was cool and cheap.

Auto Check is very inaccurate.

Carfax is the best, and that is why they charge more. They get 3 times the data of any other vendor out there.

You can check a car with Auto Check and it will show clean title, check the same car with Carfax and it will show it was in a bodyshop.

Carfax has more connections to bodyshops, police reports, ect.

Believe me I wish I could use Auto Check becuse it is dirt cheap, but if you have to buy a car back due to a report being wrong(which has happen to me) it will be cheaper in the long run to use Carfax.

CarFax does have more info. But I hate them because the info they have can be very misleading and ruin a sale. Sometimes..almost all the time the buyers are paranoid to start with. CarFax gives them too much info and they don't know how to understand it. Sometimes you have to control the customer so they will stop running around in circles like headless chickens and buy something. They actually need you to do that for them because many are incapable of making decisions. It's like being a psychologist lol.

CarFax reports accidents and many times it is just a fender or bumper cover. Nothing to do with the structure or integrity of the car. But when customers see "ACCIDENT" they automatically run. Many times it says major accident when it is not the case at all. If you go to the auction where they have 20000-4000 vehicles, I would say 65%-70% of the cars have had some paint work. Fenders, bumpers, etc..You can have a wonderful clean car that had a fender replaced and the Carfax will scare them off. My fathers Highlander was swiped in the intersection. He had to replace the bumper cover and fender. CarFax reported it as a "major" accident. Just ruined the value of his car. It is a one owner driven to work and back for 5 years. Low miles and dealer maintained always. The perfect used car everyone is looking for. But now people will just skip it because some minor paint work. The bumper and fender are OEM Toyota parts btw, not the cheap ones that don't fit.

I think they have too much power to dictate the history of a vehicle. Just because CarFax says something doesn't mean it is word spoken from God. But Joe six pack and Sally soccer mom think so. So they will go down the road and buy a real accident car that was not reported and really get screwed. They could have bought a nice car from a dealer up the road but it had a painted fender and CarFax didn't like it. I have had so many issues with that company. They do more harm then good.

Car enthusiasts usually are not that paranoid. They know about cars and understand things. They already want to buy a car when they come on your lot. They usually know more about the model then the salesman.

If you type Car Fax problems into google you will see hundreds of cases f people getting screwed over by Car Fax, they are like he mafia.

Dealer to dealer is a common thing. Especially for a rare car like the GTR.

So, Asi, out of curiosity (and no large amount of disrespect intended), how can you afford to pay cash for a GTR? It would appear from your typing skills that you're not some highly-paid college grad "makin' tha big bucks". And, as others have intimated, it seems odd to drop that kind of money on a vehicle and then worry about paying for a Carfax report. Hey! If you're the son of some famous celebrity, you gotta fess up !

:scratches my head:

no offense taken our business is grey market car importation to another country. I only saw pictures of this car that the dealership sent via email and the only option i can buy cars in the USA was to pay it full. bank transfered, dealer won't allow exporters to loan cars from them yeah sad story. but i don't have a US credit bank as you can see because im not a resident. I'm sorry if I offended anyone or Intimidated some people and btw I panic earlier because of the carfax so that cause myself to type type type without fixing the words

I'll take pictures of my current ride later and post it

thanks peace off!

I didn't see that you weren't a resident. It says, "somewhere"

That's cool ! So, you live out of the country (US)? I've been to about 25 different countries...may I ask what country you live in?
