Nissan Announces U.S. Pricing on the 2010 370Z 40th Anniversary Edition
– Limited Production Z® Coupe, Set for Early Spring On-sale, Priced at $38,860 USD –

Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA) today announced pricing for the 370Z 40th Anniversary Edition, which is scheduled to go on sale in early spring 2010. Created to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the original Datsun 240Z, the 40th Anniversary Edition starts with the 370Z Touring model equipped with Sport Package and 6-speed manual transmission then adds unique special equipment. The Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price* (M.S.R.P.) is $38,860 USD. The 370Z 40th Anniversary Edition will be limited to 1,000 units.

Along with the standard 370Z Touring and Sport Package features – including SynchroRev Match™, front chin spoiler, rear spoiler, Nissan Sport Brakes, 19-inch Rays forged aluminum-alloy wheels and viscous limited-slip differential – the 40th Anniversary Edition adds a unique, premium “40th Quartz” exterior color and special red leather-appointed interior.

Every 40th Anniversary Edition Z® also comes with a special certificate of ownership and commemorative premium satin car cover.

Along with the 40th Anniversary Edition, the 2010 Nissan 370Z Coupe is available in two well-equipped models: 370Z and 370Z Touring and in a special edition NISMO 370Z – starting at $29,990 (6MT), $34,660 (6MT) and $39,190 respectively. A 2010 Nissan 370Z Roadster, with fully automatic cloth convertible top, is also offered, starting at $36,970 (6MT). All prices are USD.

Welcome

Red leather looks hot. I had it in my last car (E46 M3) and loved it.

Wish they would offer those wheels as an option on the standard Z.

I got a catalog from Nissan of the 40th anniversary edition Z and I love the color. In many other sources it claims that the body color is a graphite and inmost posters it does look gun metalish - which I love but when I went on the Japanese Nissan website (“úŽYŽ©“®ŽÔƒz[ƒ€ƒy[ƒW) their 3D preview looks very purple almost lavenderish which I don't dig at all. I'm very sure that it the same "Quartz" color as what we're gonna get in the US. So I feel that I need to see one in person to know if this 40th anniversay body color is what I really want. The more I look at the wallpapers I do notice the background is in that lavenderish color which makes the car's purple less obvious. Does anyone here feels this way as well? Also, on a side note in japan the 40th annivrsary edition comes in other color as well (I.e. Black white red silver) I wonder if the US has that same option

Hehe, yeah, I managed to dig my way through the site... It's obvious their version of the 40th will have some different color choices.

I agree. I don't think we've seen any good photographs of what "Quartz" will actually look like.

Also, the 1,000 limited number mentioned by the OP...I wonder if that's just for the US or the entire world.

The 1000 is for the North America only. It's stated above and also in the catalog I received in the mail; I have been getting rumors that some dealer's already taking pre-orders for these. I don't know if they'll sell like hot cakes...to me personally, 1000 is not a lot....but I do hope I'd get to physically get to see one before my purchase. With an economy like this, I want to doubt it'd sell like hot cakes; in a way, i know it's just Nissan's alternative way to boost more sales and markup by calling it a special edition...just like the NISMO's 350 & 370Z, they call it LIMITED so people would rush to buy it and pay full retail MSRP price - but last time I checked, even with all the hype....there's still plenty of 1st hand cars sitting around in the dealership waiting to be sold, but of course you'd have to wait and can't be one of the first to own one, also, you'd have to take the risk of not owning one once it's sold out - which I'm not sure I'll willing to do.

I DO think it's a big deal that Nissan made it to 40 years with the Z, and I think they should celebrate it....but at the same time, I just hope there's enough 40th anniversary's around for everyone to make a better deal than to only to pay for full MSRP price (not to mention some dealership sells it for even more than MSRP for markup just because it's limited - kinda like the 2001 Acura Integra Type R).

Also, like you said, I really think we need to see more pictures of the Quartz color...I mean I may not need to see all the other features in person as they're already up on the web and i don't think they'll look much different in person....but the body color...I don't want to be one of those people that orders a $40k+ after tax car out without actually knowing the color is really what I want. What I do know for sure is, that Quartz graphite color shown in the Japan's Nissan Website looks light PURPLE (almost lavender) to me and I know for a fact, that's not what I want. Unless they're trying to promote a girl to own it.

I think it's just the lighting. That whole series of pics seemed to be tinted, even the background for the objects in the foreground.

I'm betting it's going to be a darker version of the platinum graphite...a bit more sinister and with the darker wheels. Like the black cherry, which I think suffers from a lot of bad lighting, too, it's something that will need to be seen in person to fully realize.

I'm with you on your desire to see one before plopping down over $40K.

do we know if this 40th anniversary comes in NAV as an option?

I'm asking this because the pictures I've seen have it (but then again, they came straight from Japan) The one I saw in previous threads (one in RED) did not have a Navigation....I'm assuming that the $38K price mentioned in multiple threads does not include the NAV as it doesn't mention it including the nav. I just hope that's an option. $38K is pretty much the same price as a fully loaded 370z (w/NAV) so I'm thinking the MSRP for the 40th Anniversary (w/NAV if available) should be more if you order it with NAV.

I wonder if they'll let you have the option for a NAV version (Fully Loaded) since it's gonna be special order anyways....and it's prolly gonna be $41 for MSRP? I'm a little worried they're not gonna have that as an option, cuz that's what I am waiting for.

thanks for the reassurance...i'm gonna check with the dealership today and hopefully someone may have some insights about the NAV. Is that Kelly Blue Book where you did the pricing?

I just went to website cars.com and was able to put together a 40th anniversary model with a NAV system and it showed up as $40,230 MSRP and $38,380 MSRP without Nav package. I don't know if I can count on this as a reliable source to validate the 40th anniversary to be able to have a NAV system. If anyone can confirm this, please let me know. Thanks!

Does anybody know how to get the color code for the 40th anniversary edition wheels? I'm about to get mine powder coated, and that dark grey looks amazing.
I've contacted a couple of dealers, without success. They were saying that wheels don't usually come with a color code, although that seems unlikely to me.
Any suggestions sure would be appreciated, as I've about run out of ideas.
