NISMO doesn't hold its value better, it's actually worse on resale. The current iteration NISMO Techs might fare better than the old (2014 and earlier) ones but with almost any car, the more expensive it is to begin with/more options you add, the more it depreciates. See: Infiniti anything.

The 2015 comes with a lot more than a body kit that isn't really cost effective to retrofit. If you like the NISMO you don't want to get into trying to build one as a cheaper alternative because it's not.

As the owner of the most recent iteration of the NISMO I definitely recommend it as a great fun car to own and it's a great overall package, right off the lot it handles great, has a more aggressive exhaust etc. and the seats are fantastic. Way better than the 2014 and earlier for anything but a dedicated track car build IMO.
