What is the different between 2009 vs 2010 370Z?

Anyone know what is the different between the 2009 vs 2010?

How much is the price different for the same model?

Should I go with the 2009 or looking for the 2010?

Thank you:driving:

Revisions for 2010 include:

Standard heated outside mirrors
Standard in-cabin microfilter
Navigation Package adds Bluetooth® Streaming Audio and automatic phonebook download (select phones)
iPod® connectivity is changed to USB connectivity
Black Cherry exterior color replaces Chicane Yellow

There's a few more changes, I believe, but those are the well documented ones. Pricing has been discussed in a few other threads, and I think MSRP on 2010's are slightly above 2009, but nothing major.

Thank you Matt!

So there is no Yellow Z for the 2010?

I like the yellow one

Sadly, no yellow. Black Cherry looks great though!

Eric 11-16-2009 08:57 AM

I also noticed that yellow isn't available in 2010. Luckly, red is my first choice.

Along with the new black cherry color, they have the option to get a wine interior. What are your thoughts on at? I personaly love it, but only paired up with the black cherry paint job.

exl_ent_v6 11-20-2009 02:50 PM

ooh that wine colored interior looks hot

Johnnyquad17 11-20-2009 03:24 PM

I agree!

Micas 11-21-2009 03:55 PM

Anybody know if the gunmetal colored wheels will be the standard color, or an option, or not available at all? I can't read the Nissan Japanese web site that shows them.

SmoothZ 11-21-2009 04:26 PM

Damn, the 2010 models are already out? I was just getting used to the new Z.... j/k

I like that Black Cherry with the wine interior. It just oozes sexiness.

Well, out meaning people can order it, I do not think they are arriving until Dec./Jan.

Sean 11-22-2009 11:34 PM

The difference is ONE.
But if you plan to trade in a few years get the 2010.
If you plan to keep it for 5+ years get the 2009 and a big discount.

stickied since we get one of these threads every week.

Nissan added a new option
Quote:

V92 - NISMO Performance Brake Pads
which can be added to ANY sports package 370Z (you must have sports package to add these).

2010 Invoice pricing thread: http://www.the370z.com/nissan-370z-p...ice-price.html
Also, for 2010, pricing has gone up a little bit (about $60).

Also new color replaces Chicane yellow

E10 - Black Cherry (Exterior Color) <---- New for 2010. Replaces Chicane Yellow.

Thanks

AK

How come the wine interior option does not show on the website when you go 'build my z'?

FERRARI 12-31-2009 11:23 AM

Nismo option

I have not seen a post that talks about the Nismo option that ups the Horsepower to 350hp SAE @ 7,400 RPM and has a different Emission Control level of "ULEV" and 8.7...........is there a post that talks about that?

FuszNissan 12-31-2009 01:23 PM

350HP is standard on the Nismo. It's a model, not an option.

FERRARI 12-31-2009 01:34 PM

I know it is a model ....but what does it have that gives it more HP ?

Exhaust & Tune contribute to the increase in HP.

differences of 09 and 2010...

one thing was incorrectly mentioned...the ipod connection on the factory receiver is NOT a USB receptor on the 2010. It looks like a head phone jack...i have a 2010 370 roadster(blackcherry) A7

Do you have a base?
That is why, the USB connection is only for touring+navigation package 370z

370zproject 03-27-2010 02:15 AM

can u buy the heated mirrors?... or cabin filter?

G Fo12ce 03-27-2010 09:56 AM

I know on 2010 Nismo models they come with cargo area interior trim panels (with the mounts/anchors) to accept the rear cargo cover from the touring models. The '09's did not. Someone with a 2010 base/sport will have to verify if those got it as well. I covered it in this post:

Rear Cargo Cover

Yes and no on the heated mirrors. You can add the parts you need, but they will have to be on a separate switch (like one of those blank switches).
Yes, actually you can just buy the filter and add it yourself, check the DIY section for results and part number to buy.

where is the defroster switch located at on the 2010 models?

theDreamer 03-28-2010 05:57 PM

I believe it is tied into the defrost switch already built into the car.

ryanboy 03-28-2010 06:01 PM

ah interesting... thanks theDreamer. Wished my 2009 Nismo had it for this unpredictable Chicago weather.

TipsZ 06-04-2010 03:18 PM

I wonder if it is possible to switch out the mirrors and wire up the "heated mirrors" to the 2009 models.... hmmm .... anyone know what snags one might come across attempting this?

RipperFox 06-30-2010 09:35 PM

Me thinks a Black Cherry/Wine inside Nismo would be sex on wheels.

Black Plum would be sweet for next year...Just a slight hue of purple in the black. And , as always, that cameleon that Mustangs came in was pure sexiness.

You know: after about 3 years, if anybody hit your car, they would just total it. Would cost too much to color match/paint the entire carry that color. Then you could buy it back and make a sweet Autocross'r.

J. Dub 09-30-2010 04:37 PM

Thank you for this thread.

prabap61 11-15-2011 11:10 PM

Rate must be some what high for 2010 it must be upgraded compare to 2009 model.Im not sure about the rate

bergkamp 04-17-2012 05:48 AM

The Black Cherry version looks pretty cool to me. Mine interior is plain black, can anyone recommended how I would go about changing my interior colour scheme in my 370z?

smoovep 05-25-2012 04:06 PM

I don't like either black offered, they both look dark brown to me. I was sad the black cherry was the way it was, I was hoping for a black car with a red pearl clear coat.

Deep071 05-09-2014 05:46 AM

the 2010 also has the cabin air filter from what i was told by the dealer

Maldat 10-11-2021 01:09 AM

My 2010 . has touch screen , ,usb imput , bluetooth . plays dvds while you drive, hands free phone . car has built in hard drive and rips all cd's to hard drive , if set to that mode,
has 2 old school ciggie sockets, one under dash other in consoles under the lid and a usb port and a OBD2 port also under the lid . .Listing to music off cell phone via the cars bluetooth .. can also use google maps on cell phone and google maps goes over top of the music . . it works very well
