Default Paintwork repair

Hi everyone,

I have a question about paint repair. My car was hit by someone throwing a large projectile on my car and now there is paint taken off the where it hit. My 370Z is only 3 months old. I want to get the paint repaired but I'm not sure where I should start. Would the dealer be able to patch the paintwork or should I start looking for a smash repairer to do the job? There are no dents as far as I can tell so it would be simply repairing the paint. What would you suggest?

Thanks.

Edit: I don't know why this posted under the Pricing/Ordering discussion topic, I was wanting to post this on the General discussion topic.

Any body shop should be able to handle the job..a dealer will cost you plenty though.. I was quoted from one of the premier shops near me $500 to respray my hood recently.

I would stay away from the dealerships, I know they charge just as much in AUS as they charge here in the States. See if you can find a local shop with good reputation, someone that is willing to work with you and get it done right.

Go to a local shop for a quote!

TAke a picture and post it so we know what it looks like.

Either a panel respray or a blend.
