Used you can buy a set over here at the for sale section 1k for a decent one.
But yours is 2015 I would have no idea.

Have you already told them about your claim of "Deceitful Advertising"?

I decided not to go there (deceitful) first and just listen to what they had to say. A lot of excuses and the fact that they have a disclaimer on the page. Of course the disclaimer also says something to the effect that if the customer has any questions to speak with sales agent. I had no questions. I trusted that what they were representing was indeed true.
"Deceitful" will be our next conversation. I'm not done. At minimum they need to make good on the wheel package in the form of the tires as advertised or price.

I would start with demanding a similar price deal on yours, which is around $3k less than you paid. Will they write you a check for $3k? Probably not. Maybe you can settle around $1500-2500 with them, in my opinion that would be fair.

Anecdote.........

My last car prior to my Z was a used 2012 BMW 3 Series Sedan I bought back in Sep of 2012. The dealer advertised it as though it had Premium Package (which retails for $3100) for a sale price of $37500. I negotiated a price with them which was a steal, $34000 (new they were roughly $47k in with the options it had), and then upon arrival to the dealership (4 hour drive) discovered it did not have Premium Package. I confidently told them I would buy it if they took off the MSRP of $3100 for Premium Package expecting them to counter with $1.5k or $2k which I would have definitely considered. They just said yes and sold me the car for $30900. Of course, this was prior to any transaction so different than your situation but the point is, you have the ball in your court because they misrepresented the situation AND have already taken your vehicle in on a trade. They may be unable to reverse it. Go in there heartbroken about the SRM and wheels and "deception" and go get the deal you thought you did.

:tiphat:

Thanks for doing the math :-)
Hubby and I are discussing the possible outcomes.
At minimum the tires and the rims
Cash refund
Reporting the fraudulent advertising to State Department of Consumer Affairs and I have a way to get the complaint noticed.

Give 'em hell, Hula!

Demand MSRP for the wheels and tires. Should be at least a couple grand for your troubles.

Reading the description for the car is just humorous. They practically advertise that the PW paint is so good looking that birds don't even want to $hit on it :rofl2: :shakes head:

Yeah, that part of the description was just downright silly. You've been great today. Thank you!

"This 2015 Nissan 370Z Sport is not like every other 370Z."

With this statement placed on the advertised info. A good lawyer can make use of this statement against them to define. It seems they defined it more than something a base Z.

4t?

Are you saying $4000.00?

SurfDog 05-30-2015 02:28 AM

The only deal breaker for me would be synchro rev match! Everything else can be upgraded (You may be even better off that way if you plan on modding up a bit. Ive not seen anybody retrofit synchro rev match in, but maybe the dealer can do it if pressed.

1 Oem sport VLSD to Quaife LSD (way worth the effort $1500)
2 OEM sport brakes to wilwood or Z1 big brake upgrade (better than stock sport $1500)
3 Synchro Rev Match to.... um... learn to heal toe shift! (free! Yay)
4. Bose to Anything but Bose!!! ($???)
Etc, etc,

Good luck, welcome, and congrats on a very cool new car!

At their first sign of them balking at whatever you decide to demand/ask from them, I'd drop that this is on your "to-do list" with a copy of your complaint going to the state attorney general.

I think their calling it a 370Z Sport as well as listing "Trim: Sport" not only implies, but represents, it is the Sport Package.

What a mess. Good luck.

volusia 05-30-2015 03:42 PM

I just did KBB on similar car like yours with and without Sport Pkg. It only adds $1500 to the value so they might try to use that figure as a leverage if they ever decide to settle with you.. They might offer you some service items that they randomly price(outrageously priced of course) in lieu of that $1500 difference. Anyway, demand whatever you think you should and good luck!

CarFax Buyback???

I believe the advertising COMPLETELY mislead what you were buying. It matters little or not that you knew it was what they stated it was. It WAS NOT as advertised.
And what's with this CarFax Buyback thing?

Anyway, all that really matters is if you end up where the whole situation doesn't eat you up inside. Get out of them what makes you happy for their 'rip off tactics'. If you aren't satisfied get them to take it back. Walk away with clean hands and concience and find another one.
I can't comment on the deal you got. I am up here in the Great White North and it's tough to compare things with the shape of our dollar and what they want for Zs up here.

Best of luck.

The only thing I can find is you can charge them for the 19's ray wheels. As its the only one listed in the spec.

The argument would be is they would say sport which means sports car and not sports package!

Definitely they misrepresented the car in the ads.
As you have said even for a base Z you still got it lower than the market price. Thats another argument they might use against your claim.

But yes I hate to get the one that you didn't like.

Update us what the dealer would say when you come back and see them.

Can't really agree unless OP walks away with restitution she cannot refuse. Base below market or not; the OP didn't get what was advertised....whether she knew it or not. I'd want a Sport as advertised or my money back. Period.

Something far less than this happened when I did my deal and it ate at me for months.
