Thanks. Working on that but not having much luck in getting the Chrome cache translated.

Sounds like you found the cache at least. If you are using chrome://cache/ and remember the dealer's main site URL, use CTRL+F to search for that string (i.e. townnorthnissan.com). Another suggestion would be to search your history - it can be a little more user friendly than the cache. Go to chrome://history/ and you'll see a search box at the top. Use that to search for the dealer website again. Or you can scroll through the pages and look for the date(s) you were doing your online searching.

Also, you might want to double check that your history goes back that far before you waste a lot of time searching for a cached page that was automatically deleted.

Looking at the paperwork/contract. Car is listed as
2DR CPE S

Translation? (Would "S" be for Sport?)

Any chance the dealer ran a newspaper advertisement which included your car?

I was actually able to find it by just Google searching for the vehicle then hovering over the end of the link and using the drop down arrow. It came right up and I've printed 2 copies.

Obviously I thought so.

Yeah, I would definitely go back and talk to a manager. At the very least.

They probably aren't obligated to give you any money back (though you might trick a stupid manager into it). But they would definitely have to take the car back if you put up a fuss. Problem is you got the car at a pretty good price either way. So it's probably not worth you giving it back and having to find another one. Hope you at least get something out of it - if you plan to use them for service, try and get a maintenance contract out of the deal. It's a dealer, so just an acknowledgement of the fraudulent advertising would be a win in my book :ugh: :icon17:

Just read through the thread, OP - I'm assuming you don't have the syncro rev match button near the shift left? You said you got a Manual, right? Still a pretty good deal if you ask me.

I got mine for $26k + TTL, '13 Sport/touring with 20kmiles on it. Had mods on it, though.

No button.

They were "busy" and ask me to come back Monday. Gonna head back now. I have their printout taped to the car. There's 18" wheels on the car and the sticker says 19" or more specifically:
19" x 9" Fr/19" x 10" Rr RAYS Forged Alloy Inc. super lightweight

Welcome to the Forum!
If you have that print out, at least you may score a set of 19" Rays from them, it's not going to be the full Sport Package, but definitely they wrongly advertised the car, so they are liable.
Good luck!

Since Base delivered is around $30,800 and Sport delivered is around $34,400, the difference is $3600. You got it for $27000, which would be a $7400 discount off of a Sport, or roughly 78%. I would start with demanding a similar price deal on yours, which is around $3k less than you paid. Will they write you a check for $3k? Probably not. Maybe you can settle around $1500-2500 with them, in my opinion that would be fair.

Anecdote.........

My last car prior to my Z was a used 2012 BMW 3 Series Sedan I bought back in Sep of 2012. The dealer advertised it as though it had Premium Package (which retails for $3100) for a sale price of $37500. I negotiated a price with them which was a steal, $34000 (new they were roughly $47k in with the options it had), and then upon arrival to the dealership (4 hour drive) discovered it did not have Premium Package. I confidently told them I would buy it if they took off the MSRP of $3100 for Premium Package expecting them to counter with $1.5k or $2k which I would have definitely considered. They just said yes and sold me the car for $30900. Of course, this was prior to any transaction so different than your situation but the point is, you have the ball in your court because they misrepresented the situation AND have already taken your vehicle in on a trade. They may be unable to reverse it. Go in there heartbroken about the SRM and wheels and "deception" and go get the deal you thought you did.

:tiphat:

Here's just one of the cached pages. Judge for yourself:

Oh my God cant believe Im reading this. One wonderful deal turned out to be a farce from the dealer.

The only thing I can find is you can charge them for the 19's ray wheels. As its the only one listed in the spec.

The argument would be is they would say sport which means sports car and not sports package!

Definitely they misrepresented the car in the ads.
As you have said even for a base Z you still got it lower than the market price. Thats another argument they might use against your claim.

But yes I hate to get the one that you didn't like.

Update us what the dealer would say when you come back and see them.

Since it specifically says "Trim Level" I'm not so sure it can be written off as just "sports" car but the way these guys are going, I'm sure they'll try.

I love the car but it's definitely false advertising and it's in more than 1 place.

I've added a lot of excitement to the forum since joining ;-)
Seriously, I really appreciate all of your replies.

Anyone want to venture a guess on the value of the
19"RAYS forged alloy wheels Y-rated would be worth in comparison to the
18" Black-finish aluminum-alloy wheels Yokohama Advan Sport W-rated tires?

Looks like RAYS are about $352.00

Zoren 370 05-29-2015 06:58 PM

The last time I asked the sports 19 Rays Bnew at a Nissan dealership for a 09 to 12 models its about 4t plus for a set without tires.

Used you can buy a set over here at the for sale section 1k for a decent one.
But yours is 2015 I would have no idea.

Have you already told them about your claim of "Deceitful Advertising"?
