What kind of investor actively tries to lose money for motivation? In all my years of buying and selling real estate and stocks I have never heard anything so ridiculous... That salesman that sold you your car is probably a hero to all his sales buddies every time he tells the story of the time he sold a Nismo for $6k over MSRP to some schmuck in half an hour.

That's probably because you don't make $80K a year off of dividends alone. The only thing that motivates me to do any actual work is spending a reasonably large amount of money to make me nervous. Otherwise I can live comfortably indefinitely off the income from dividends until the day I die never lifting a finger. The only illogical thing here is that you cannot see how losing money would encourage someone to go and take action.

Frankly, I am getting real tired of justifying myself to all of you clowns who think you know more about my financial well being than I do. So it takes something unpleasant to motivate the lazy person I have become after inheriting a small fortune, why do you care? At least I know what it takes, and actually take action instead of sitting on my *** all day contributing nothing to society. None of this pertains to the original topic, and you are all making colossal fools of yourselves.

You sound like a douche that should trade the Z for a BMW. Maybe you can give your salesman a $20,000 tip for helping you find the right douchemobile:gtfo2:

How about this thread go back to topic instead of some of you coming in here to give your opinion and kick a guy while he is down. That really makes you nothing but a rude person or perhaps "bully" is a better term. That's not what this forum is about. IF YOU DONT HAVE ANYTHING NICE TO SAY, DONT SAY ANYTHING.

This guy is trying to brag to everyone about how he has money to waste. No one cares. Maybe he should donate it to a good cause instead of giving it to a dealership that already rips people off every single day.

This. It's obvious he didn't earn it himself.

You all are a bunch of douches, you know that? I am not bragging about anything, and you are insulting me at every opportunity. WTF is wrong with all of you *** hats? Seriously, who brags about inherited wealth? Nobody.

After taxes, warranty, and trade in on a vehicle I did not want, I came in about 6K above MSRP on my vehicle (48K owed after trade-in), which is excessive compared to my past experiences with the dealership. Usually after taxes and warranty you sit at or slightly below MSRP. I did not have to share my experience, and I will make a point not to do so in the future because it's not worth talking to you ********.

Nevertheless, like I said, I've been to that Nissan dealership many times before and the only car that was marked up more than this one was a 2009 GT-R (about $20K above MSRP). Everything else, including a 350Z has come in very close to MSRP before negotiation.

I can help you out, send some money to my paypal, it might get you motivated. As you can see i'm poor, i drive a Camry,:wtf2: and i just got laid off. Seriously i'm not picky, i will settle for a 2009 370z.

Everyone needs to lay off Kaldaien. He's got an amazing car now and who gives a crap what motivates him. I don't care that when I bang your mom, It motivates you to finally move out.

Anyways, I just ordered the '15 Nismo, tech package, illuminated kick plates, and retarded carpets they charge you a few hundred for, for $44410 out the door after all their doc fees, destination blah blah. Looked around on all the sites and that was pretty solid. It was actually $500 more expensive than a black one they had with ALL the exact same options and I couldn't figure out why. Neither could they, as they showed me the side by side invoice on both, But they wouldn't budge on my white one. Can't wait! 3/3/15 baby!!

Also shopping for a 2015 Nismo. Got two prices from TrueCar. Both include illuminated kicks, floor mats and doc prep.

Nismo MT $39.2K
Nismo MT Tech $42.1K

Not out the door...taxes, title etc(?) not included.

Also considering a used (maybe 2012 up) NISMO but have OK from the wife to buy new!

Bulletz4break 02-15-2015 02:05 PM

Just saw one at my local dealer for 47k.

Thank you, someone finally has something reasonable to contribute.

I have been in a deep depression since my mom passed away ~1 yr ago. I quit my career (software engineer) to take care of her when she was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. After she passed, I inherited a lot of money and started living off of stock dividends instead of restarting my career. I am actually somewhat ashamed that I became content to mooch off of stock earnings and not work, because in college I was an over-achieving perfectionist and now I am a lazy slacker living off money I did not earn.

:horse:

I purchased this car to stretch my budget real thin and pretty much force myself to go back to work to keep from losing money this year. I really did not expect to get so much hate explaining my situation, if I came across as someone who was bragging, I assure you it was not intentional - I thought it was pretty clear I am actually pretty disgusted with the situation I am in. To be accused of bragging was just the final straw for me.

I gotchya, can't really relate to the living off dividends and inheritance, I've always felt like that stuff should be invested in a way that grows rather than diminishes. Sort of building it for the next family member. However, I've never been in the situation so can only speak of how I think I would react.

Anyway, the part I can relate to is motivation. I work a 100% commission based job. If I have months of reserve and bills paid, I have zero motivation to work. I literally just want to sit around, spend time with the family (not a bad thing) and do nothin! HA. But if I have something to work for or work towards that makes all the difference. This lady Z coming my way is my new motivation. Sounds ridiculous, you'd think providing for the family would be motivation enough, but that's easy...I need something to get the blood flow going! ;)

If you would have just said all this stuff from the get go nobody would have said anything to you....... Go back and read your original posts, you sounded like a really awful, braggy douchebag with a "better than you cuz I have money" attitude. Sorry to hear about your mom and good luck getting your life back on track man.
