BP Auto Tokyo Auto Salon 2014 Coverage!!
One of our favorite events every year is Tokyo Auto Salon in January, where Japanese tuners show off the latest iterations of their demo cars and manufacturers debut or officially release their newest parts. Every year we're there in force, bringing you behind the scenes for an early look at Japan's best.
http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/s...pseff5794f.jpg Last year we were honored to have an exciting customer car grab lots of headlines at Auto Salon where it was featured in the prestigious RAYS Wheels booth. http://www.bulletproofautomotive.com...body.gt-r1.jpg As well as co-sponsoring one of our favorite innovative brands and close friends Varis... in their debut of their infamous GT86 wide body kit & 2013 GT-R. http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/s...3/IMG_2378.jpg http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/s...3/IMG_2356.jpg While we are always excited for Tokyo Auto Salon (TAS), this year holds something special in store for us again. This time it's not a GT-R but instead our FR-S Concept One which many of you saw at SEMA is currently in Japan and was proudly displayed in the RAYS booth. We were honored that RAYS chose us again this year and that the two most important Japanese performance magazines HyperRev and Option have provided the support to make it all happen, along with our long term partners at Varis. We always dreamed of sending one of our cars to compete with the best in Japan and this year the stars have finally aligned. https://fbcdn-sphotos-e-a.akamaihd.n...84385208_n.jpg (For more information on the Bulletproof Concept One click here) http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/s...S/IMG_1660.jpg So stay tuned here, keep an eye on our Facebook page, and follow us on instagram at @bulletproofautomotive to get the goods from TAS14 early, often, and with special attention to the latest in 370Z tuning from legends like Top Secret, Powerhouse Amuse, Varis, and many more. http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/s...0/IMG_1682.jpg The other exhilarating but frightening aspect of TAS for us is that we often make very expensive decisions about what we will invest in stocking so that our customers in the US and around the world can have easy access to as many new and exciting parts as possible. As some of you might know, we are one of the very few authorized distributors to many of your favorite JDM brands here in the USA. We're also pretty much the only company crazy enough to stock JDM parts that even the companies in Japan typically only have on a made-to-order basis. In previous years we've invested on new parts from Varis, Top Secret, Zele, Amuse, Kansai Service, Do-Luck, Esprit, Voltex, Mine's, Endless, JUN, and more. Every year we try to choose the best of the best that we think will find an audience with the right blend of design, performance, engineering and price. This year we are expecting to go as heavy and hard as we possibly can because with the Yen finally returned to a decent price level against the US dollar, now is the time to buy great stuff from Japan that was unaffordable over the last few years. http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/s...0/IMG_1581.jpg http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/s...psee708a82.jpg We can't wait to share this experience with you. Congrats on the Rays booth again! You guys deserve it.

We have been hinting at something special coming from our friends at Varis for the past couple weeks, so here you go! ;) Enjoy! We have been long time partners with Varis, especially considering our Varis widebody kit D equipped Scion FRS was featured in the Rays booth a few steps away!
Anyone like this Varis VSDC cooling bonnet, Arising II front bumper, and front wide fender (8mm on each side) combo? http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/s...ps3b6aafa1.jpg Side profile shot featuring Varis Arising II front bumper, side skirts, front wide fenders, rear bumper, hyper narrow 1360mm GT-wing! Amazing finish on the Volk G25 wheels no? http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/s...psa9a3a526.jpg Another side profile view with the Varis/Runduce 86 peeking through in the background! http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/s...ps0b41e965.jpg Front Fenders Great view of the venting and wheel fitment on the new front wide fenders! http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/s...ps137f9a42.jpg Close up shot of the side vents. This is the FRP + carbon fiber version! http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/s...ps4abfaa7e.jpg This isn't only a design cue, but a nice vent to help release air trapped under the wheel wells. http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/s...ps71dc6141.jpg Another shot from further away showing how subtle the wide fenders can look when blended properly into the body work! http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/s...psba75fc52.jpg Rear Bumper Having a black demo car makes the body lines very subtle, yet aggressive at the same time. http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/s...ps3396cb48.jpg Check out the venting and rear diffuser section! http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/s...psb47b9597.jpg Another angle of the rear bumper! Like the rear carbon diffuser section? ;) http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/s...ps14b8c180.jpg Rear Wing Hyper Narrow 1360mm GT-Wing goodness! Check out the weave! http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/s...psb6563474.jpg http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/s...ps6dddeffd.jpg http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/s...psa4260a99.jpg What do you guys think? Let us know! More coverage coming soon featuring our friends over at JUN, Fujimura Auto, Veilside, and more! We hit Tokyo Auto Salon in full force to get our fellow 370z owners some good info and eye candy! |
Double the down force
Interesting fenders.
I want that rear bumper!!!
Is black varis's signature color or something? so hard to see the lines on a black car
Not a big fan of the intake holes in the front bumper. Is it possible to get it without the intake holes?
I like the fact it looks like a nismo with the colored lip Line all around...love the blue, fenders look good (functional) and the rear looks like an amuse top with varis flare. Looks like the fenders also help with engine heat exit....can you confirm this and gets some under the hood shots? Thanks for always supporting the Z family!!
Ps..the double wing is a bit much |
I like it! Just makes me sad I'm not rich enough to afford this in the near future...
I'm not sure of the fenders... The rear is :yum: I'm wondering if I can pull off that rear bumper with the rest of my kit.
I like the rear design, but so hard to tell in black how busy or wild the lines really are to match with the rest of the body flow
I like the fenders, are they widebody? I wonder how they would look with a white amuse
man that thing looks amazing!!!!

Who do you guys think makes this carbon fiber strut tower bar for the 370z? Hint: I checked it out and it's actually real carbon fiber and not just a wrap/overlay. ;)

Let's check out what our long time friends over at JUN Auto brought to Tokyo Auto Salon specifically for us 370z owners!
http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/s...ps1c02a65c.jpg This dry carbon hood helps a lot with extracting hot air out from under the hood and inside the engine bay. http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/s...ps3691578f.jpg http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/s...ps7bb90c16.jpg Form follows function when JUN designed this front bumper! http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/s...ps618c0701.jpg Each opening in the front bumper has a duct behind it, which draws air to where the end user needs it most! http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/s...ps1cdae55f.jpg http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/s...psfd0f1e6f.jpg Here's a close up shot of their vented front fenders! http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/s...ps0446835a.jpg At first, this looks like a normal carbon fiber add on piece that was riveted to the rear bumper... http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/s...ps6b9529ca.jpg However upon further inspection, it reveals a real diffuser that even wraps around the exhaust tips! http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/s...psfdf3ec0e.jpg We were lucky enough to be around the car when JUN Auto decided to open up the bonnet and it revealed something quite interesting! http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/s...pse800d408.jpg Check out that carbon fiber strut tower bar! http://i584.photobucket.com/albums/s...psae582343.jpg Hope you enjoyed our shots so far! More pictures and information coming soon! Be sure to check back later for more goodies from our Tokyo Auto Salon 2014 coverage! :hello: Hate it or love it? Leave your comments below! |

Do you think they can bring some of the performance mods (JUN) they make to the Z's here in the states? I've seen online that they have a Z 380whp NA or so I think??
Another of Vielside!
interested in that CF strut tower brace
They don't have the little toy models in black cherry do they?!
I like that strut bar, but it looks to much like the OEM bar. I really wish top secret or zele still made theirs... while you're over there try to talk them into producing them again.
