I am not good with numbers so I'll let you guys figure it out. Please note this is the same Z that we saw drifting on the track.

nogoodname 12-18-2008 08:27 PM

torque is in metric...lol...i should know this...............ha

shumby 12-18-2008 08:28 PM

yup kg/m for the win
but what is up with PS? numbers look like the should be ft/lbs still

Slidefox 12-18-2008 08:32 PM

PS to HP.... it works out to be around 275whp

nogoodname 12-18-2008 08:33 PM

not bad, that's what ppl with G's got

zman1910 12-18-2008 09:19 PM

277whp and 226 lb-ft torque in case anyone wanted to know. I'd rather see dynojet numbers...

RCZ 12-18-2008 09:33 PM

yeah dynapacks read high :(

I want to see it on a Mustang dyno....aka the heartbreaker...

zman1910 12-19-2008 02:44 AM

Is it just me or is there already an aftermarket stereo installed in the 2nd pic? Japanese people get to work'in fast!!

tranceformer 12-19-2008 08:05 AM

Looking at the front wheel, it looks like the non-sport model. Probably the 7AT? That might skew the numbers a bit versus the 6MT.

Supergoji 12-19-2008 08:48 AM

dynapacks dont read high. they read what is at the hub...
idk what anybody else was expecting though. same engine as the G37. gonna put out the same numbers.

which means 350whp with intake, headers, hfc's,catback, tune

350rwhp? Really? Is this what similarly modded G37's are getting? Thats approaching 997 GT3 numbers.:ughdance:

350whp is a lot w/ the mods you've listed
sure about this?

LOL that is just wrong! I wouldn't expect more than 310-320whp and that's being generous. Don't forget to use the right dyno to skew the numbers in your favor as well.....

350 Crank hp maybe... but 350 rwhp means about 410-420 hp at the crank. Which is 80-90hp more than stock.

80-90hp from an intake/exhaust and a little A/F tuning? I agree ... these numbers don't sound right for those mods.

G37Sam 12-19-2008 02:34 PM

wow wow wow chill with the numbers people.. most i've seen was 344 rwhp but the guy had exhausts, HFC, headers, intakes and a reflash!

here check for yourself!

DynoPacks read higher than most other dynos. Dynojet read what it should be and Mustang Dynos read low.

For a 370Z I am not impressed with that dyno over a stock HR 350z.

shumby 12-19-2008 03:11 PM

ya the G with NA mods and a flash will be getting into 330whp but not 350 although i wish

RCZ 12-19-2008 05:37 PM

Hallelujah!!!

People didn't encourage the guy with the insane claims!! I am proud of this forum.

Yes, dynapacks read stupid high. So maybe on a dynapack youd make 350rwhp with those mods...it all makes sense now...

And btw, I've seen 70whp difference from a dynapack to a non-toy dyno.

SMJane_Again 12-20-2008 03:18 PM

Yeah, 350whp sounds way too high for nothing more than breathing boosters/optimizers, but 330whp for those mods is plenty (at least compared to my '01 S4 I'm driving now :icon17:) if true! Dial in the suspension, beef up the brakes a little and you'll have your own track demon! By the by, anyone know what the stock whp numbers are for Z competitors like the RX-8 (ha, ha, ha!!!), 135i, Mustang, STI, and Lan-Evo?

S.

Supergoji 12-20-2008 03:53 PM

dynapacks read differently.
it reads numbers at the hubs.

G37sam posted what i was talking about.

350zHR's are getting 300whp-320whp with those mods.

more displacement and vvel makes a difference.

idk if you guys would take this to be relevent but look at the foxbody mustangs the crappy LX hatch things that weigh nothing, some of them have 3.8 v6's or somthing, they can make alot of power NA. do a search.

3SeventyZ 12-20-2008 06:13 PM

Can't wait to get my hands on one.

18rgcelica73 12-20-2008 07:26 PM

Those are not bad numbers at all, I mean look it is stock, runs 13.30 @ 105.8 so far that I know of, and it is SEXY AS HELL. Damn and 350whp with those few mods is gonna be even sexier.:excited::bowrofl::ughdance:

HFC is the best mod going it gave te most gains

shumby 12-20-2008 10:17 PM

nogoodname 12-20-2008 10:21 PM

shumby 12-20-2008 10:41 PM

You should be able to get 25-30whp out of that...

shumby 12-21-2008 12:03 AM

lol only picking

Crash 12-22-2008 12:43 AM

LS1 motors got 40WHP from headers, full exhaust, intake and tune. (although that's a GOOD tune).

Keep in mind that vq37 is a lot more complex and can tune even better than an LS1. With some elbow grease in the tune, the same mods could possibly see 330Whp. I can't imagine why not. Although, I've haven't modified a Z yet.

shumby 12-22-2008 12:47 AM

headers exhaust intake ans HFC's and tune are getting in the 300whp range on the G

Crash 12-22-2008 01:14 AM

25WHP gain... That's about 30-32HP crank... Sounds low for all the equipment to me.

On most manuals, you lose about 10-15% of the power. Mathematically, it should be 29HP with 15% loss on 35HP gain... Dunno if that sounds like it's worth it... Lot of money to spend on 30HP.

18rgcelica73 12-23-2008 11:02 AM

Yeah and 40k is a lot of money for a material item but I can't wait to get one. As someone wise in the aftermarket industry once told me, if you can get true power out of your car for less than 100 dollars per horse power then you are doing pretty good. Just remember what one horsepower advantage has in racing.

Supergoji 12-23-2008 11:18 AM

dont tell that to the LS6 boys lol.:driving:

i'll wait until the parts are cheap.

Crash 12-24-2008 12:57 AM

Yep! LS6 parts are getting cheap now, though. My LS1 parts were just getting cheap when my car was stolen! DAMN IT!
