I uh... posted a comment on his youtube video. wasn't very nice I suppose and think I used the word "idiot" a few times. I felt like telling him, "do you know how many people are laughing at you about this?" but I didn't. oh and on a serious note. I have felt that I have not had full power unless I got the temp up near 220. I also assume that 220 is the optimal temp we should be running at because it is in the middle of the gauge and that would make sense to me... but the dude that made that video thought 200 was hot and that is on the low side of the gauge. lol I think he was also in 6th gear doing like 35 and was shifting at 3k for some reason. If you haven't watched the video you definitely have to. He starts crying about how fast the temp gets to 200 and just stays there. that's a good thing buddy.

Optimal oil temp. slightly differs depending on the type of oil that you're using but I believe the best range is 190-200F

hey after watching his video I stumbled upon even more idiots doing 0-60 and they are shifting at like 3500. ya know, I thought when I bought this car with it being a bit more expensive that idiots wouldn't be able to afford it so this wouldn't happen but apparently there are just as many idiots with money. or at least they convince the salesman at the dealership to let them test drive the car.

Why are people obsessed with oil temperature? This is 2011. We have modern motors and oil that can handle way more than 250F. Oil are more efficient at the 2xx range than they are at 180F. I don't know why we get the cries over it. It's like asking for standards from 1980 to be applied in 2011. Weird.

I know Nissan's fix though, replace the oil temp gauge with another dummy one

hey that thread is way back in 2010 and the videos on it were removed, and the youtube video was a few days ago. I guess it is the same guy but he never says anything about temps being that high on his video...

Isamu 08-05-2011 07:14 PM

People were asking who the video was by so I shared.
He has a number of posts on here complaining about his 'high' oil temps of 220 and what Nissan needs to do for him to remedy the problem. Guess even till today he complains.
