370Z vs GTR at the track this past Friday!

Hey all, figured I'd post this for your viewing pleasure. This is a pic of me in my new 370Z racing a white GTR at the track in Fayetteville, NC this past friday night! Yea I know there was no chance of my winning but it was still fun as hell to race one and made for one sexy startign picture!

PS: I took him in the 60 FT time....

It was a great night too, after the race he let me ride in the GTR and man Im in love! My Z is great but Nissan really outdid themselves with the GTR. I would know Im a former R32 GTR owner from my days of being stationed in Japan. (Thanx Army!)

There was like 5,000 people at the track that night and over 400 cars racing! I was pretty surprised the Z was getting almost as much attention as the GTR and even had a fair amount of people tell me they actually thought the Z looks better.

Sorry had to share my story, Im still smiling from the response I got from people over the new 370Z. It was a blast!

I know it's mostly the perspective of the wide angle camera there but that really makes the GT-R look huge!

Yea well the camera isn't that great either, it was taken from my iPhone! But when we had them sitting side by side the GTR has a good bit on the 370Z. With noses even my rear bumper ended at about the end of his rear fender. So it is a bit bigger but not as ginormous as that picture makes it look.

I got the time slips in my car somewhere but I ran a 13.48 and he ran like a 12.7 because he slowed down for me to catch up! ...LOL! I've seen him run an 11.4 before tho!

Alrighty, gonna do a couple break downs here of what I'd seen so far. I posted just one of these up in the "Track" section of the forums but since your asking on here and I love talking about it, I'll throw my numbers up here as well!

The 13.48 run against the GTR:
2.1469 - 60 FT
5.7536 - 330 FT
8.7216 - 1/8 ET
82.96 - 1/8 MPH
13.486 - 1/4 ET
103.54 - 1/4 MPH

However this wasn't my fastest run, my best run was a 13.43 here are the times for that:
2.0897 - 60 FT
5.7219 - 330 FT
8.6927 - 1/8 ET
83.18 - 1/8 MPH
13.437 - 1/4 ET
103.85 - 1/4 MPH

As of yesterday I've been running consistantly in the 13.4's with a 13.5 here and there. When I first started breaking her in it was 13.6 and 13.7s most of the time. But I ran 7 runs yesterday with 6 times in the 13.4's and one 13.5 flat!

My fastest overall times for each area are as fallows:
1.9792 - Fastest 60 FT
5.7081 - Fastest 330 FT
8.6817 - Fastest 1/8 ET
13.437 - Fastest /4 ET

Everything is still completely stock, Im running the 7 AT base model package. I love it so far, and have my intakes on the way!

Impressive runs!

Do you have any video? we would love to see a video. I don't think there's any video of 370z at the drag strip.

ME TOO, I bet they might have a faster time or two but they won't run anywhere near as consistant
