Why do they keep using the Nismo Z?!?! Yet another vid that shows the Z w/sport pack was faster on Tskuba than the Nismo.

What I took out of this was that the TT RS is only slightly quicker around this track than the Z w/sport pack; both were in the 1:06 range. Now, I would like to see a 2010 Cayman S WITHOUT the PDK run Tskuba.

Agreed, it's been proven by Edmunds that the regular 370Z sport package is a better performance car than the Nismo 370Z.

Not sure how the Stig got the 370Z around faster than the STi on Top Gear. My 370Z was 5 seconds slower than my 05 STi was 1:23.6 to 1:28.8. I had not been to that track in a while so I am sure I could improve my 370Z time but I think the STi is still faster.

AWD is typically easier to run around a track as it will cover up more of your mistakes. An Evo/STI/GT-R/insertawdcar will make a poor driver look really, really good. I'm not commenting on your driving here either -- you might be a good driver, just not used to RWD. In the hands of a professional driver things will be much more even, though -- hence, the Stig.

yea i believe the stig got the ZR1 corvette around faster than the audi R8 V10, but they said that only an extremely high level professional driver could manage getting the zr1 around the track faster than the R8 (r8=awd zr1=rwd) same type of case.
