Any Fuel System Cleaner Recommended ??

http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15...9d5cb5c51e.jpg

Recently I've purchased two fuel system cleaners - the Valvoline Max and the Techron concentrate plus. Both used on some days interval.

This is my first FS cleaner use. In the user's manual, it says Nissan does not recommend any additives. But for me wanted something good to restore my lost power and performance.

I felt really my Z runs better just after I put that Valvoline's. Faster response like a new (now hitting 100K miles around) About the Techron no idea yet cuz I just put it hours ago.

Any brand of FS cleaner highly recommended ?? Well.. I tried to ask at the BITOG, but my membership is still pending that I write this post here.

I use Lucas fuel injector cleaner every oil chg. I use it to prevent build up on the valves but that's about it.

Top tier petrol already got additives inside....no need this...This type of 'cleaner' is for 3 rd World countries like Laos,Vietnam,Africa & some South America where no Premium fuel are sold.

why not just go to sherwin willams and pour some touline in there? :ugh:

good point.

Until my Z had hit 60K miles around, I had put the cheapest gas for lower prices. I even still don't know their brand names and rarely used top tiers but now I use 76 or Arco.

I guess that's why my Z temporarily lost its performance. I just get it back with these cleaners. But as you know, Techrons always go with the Chevrons.

I personally still don't trust gas in the states and all I pump is Chevron.

Wow !

the brand name 'Lucas' reminds me of George Lucas Star Wars that it says "May the Additives be with You".

Hope you like it :D

All it makes me think of is horrible electrical problems.

Did you hear about the vacuum cleaner Lucas made? It was their only product that didn't suck.

Every once and a while I'll let me tank get pretty low (yeah I know poor fuel pump) and put a few gallons of 100-octane in. I figure this helps clean stuff out. I wouldn't throw snake-oil additives into my car's fuel. Especially with how finicky sensors can be.

That said, the last time I went into Autozone to get parts for my carb they tired to sell me fuel injector cleaner.

The only one that truly works is BG 44K. Good fuel also goes a long way.

I heard that BG44K is used by Nissan Dealerships too. Correct ??

Gasoline is already a hell of a solvent with some nasty shít in it. And I'd hazard a guess that most of the stuff that clogs injectors is the fuel pump and lines that get degraded because of the ethanol in our gas.

Gasoline already contains toluene to up the octane. And you can't buy Toluene in CA anymore

In most dealerships. They choose. My old dealership swapped to Wynn's. I'm pissed about it. Looking for a new place to buy it now. I used it before I was a Tech. It's good stuff. Normally run one can every 15-30,000 miles. In my 1990 300zxtt I could only get 200-250 miles a tank when I got the car. Did a fuel induction service and went to 350-400 miles a tank. It works.

Big pic because it's that good, put in in your gas, intake and oil (only right before an oil change) Works amazing! You will see and fell the results. I personally guarantee it, If you're not happy with the results I'll give you your money back, that's how good this stuff works.

BG 44k is good too but about 3-4x as much.
