Of course he does. LOL I test drove a 2013 Genesis coupe(six cylinder) and it was nice for a Hyundai, that's about it. I proved to some guy that his V6 Gen coupe wasn't as fast as the wifes Z or my G37 coupe in the same week. I really like the Genesis (almost bought one), but basically it's a cheap knock-off of a G37. I'm sure there are plenty of people who feel differently, but I'll take the Japanese original over a Korean imitation any day. BTW my wifes Z will SMOKE my G37.

Agreed. My buddy has one and they are world's apart. Raced him onto the freeway (up to freeway speeds) and it wasn't even close. Salesman trying to make a sale

Here is the most serious competition yet. ....

I briefly looked at the gen coupe when shopping for the 370z. The styling doesn't do it for me (it's gotten uglier since) and the interior just felt very cheap and just kind of crappy. If that's all I could afford, it's probably a decent car, but there's no way I would get that if I could afford a z.

Careful when you say that here. Good way to get banned. Just giving you a heads up, since you are new.

Good looking out thanks. Raced up to freeway speeds is more appropriate ;)

Not all Mustangs and Camaros are V8, rather their basic trims run with V6 - even don't need premium gas fueled !!

370Z is kind of a very unique and hard to comparable to for its wonderful (and also xxxxing sometimes) two seats with the outstanding design and also the N/A V6 !!

That's why Zs are so rare on the street, and also why I love my Z.

No way .. 370Z's zero to sixty should outperform the GenCoupes'.

I'm from Korea though.

Especially with the sports packages.

All of this is true except none of it. LOL. It is quicker on a roll though. But what you do get is a quite the bang for the buck in tech and luxury with a nice mix of power.

uhh thats the old one. The new '13+ are with 4/10 second of the Z.

For me the ONLY car I still lust for over the 370 (New or older and within my reach) is US spec Exige and do a built and boosted K20 swap. If the new Euro only version Exige S was available here I would part out the Z and sell a kidney if I had to! Ha

all honesty... Z is a true niche. v6 na 2 seat coupe. there aren't any other on the market with that spec.

Yea that's the one. That's the GT version though. The Z is a FAR better sports car. I'm not arguing that. But for the price and the amenities one gets with the Genesis (Nav, sunroof, 8 speed auto with rev matching, hands free everything, Bluelink, peanut butter leather plus 350 hp) I couldn't find a better Grand Tourer for under $34k.

Mustang GT can compete with 370Z Sports.

All numbers are just Specs on the sheet.

When buying my Z The only other car I directly compared it to was the FRS/BRZ. Everything else wasn't really what I was looking for. I think the domestics are too big, and cars like evo's, sti's and GOLF R's are really cool, but have nothing in common with the Z. The RX-8 and s2000 could be in the same boat as the Z as well. The Genesis coupe too, but I hate those cars and didn't even consider them. Really any smaller, RWD, two door is comparable, so throw in the z4 and Porsche Boxster/Cayman as well...heck even used 996/997 911's.

FR-S and BRZ ... fun sports cars to drive, but less than 300hp. They're really good. You know 370Z is kind of a daily sports as they are.

Lancer (Evo) and Subaru WRX are ralley cars on totally different concepts. Fundamentally uncomparable to the Zs. Their fans must have their own reasons and it obviously should make sense.

Hyundai GenCoupes .. I think they're still on progress. Not yet good enough like Nissan is trying to catch up with Porsche .. personally wish they could win the Toyotas that it is from my mother country Korea.

Honda S2000 and Mazda RX8 go too small like FR-Ss, hard to compare to our N/A V6 VQs. don't mean they are bad, just say they literally hard to be compared.

BMW Z4 yeah maybe the very competitor to a Z, but I actually don't think it as a Z's true rival. Just going on that outstanding luxurious brand name 'BMW', without it how many would rate it higher than the Zs ?? It is good but Zs are pretty better overall IMO.

Porsche .. you know Nissan often say it as his rival. Frankly I prefer Zs to any Porsches for their design better. But I must agree they outperform all the Zs in the real driving. All numbers are just Specs on a piece of paper when Nissan emphasizes their numericals.

As a fan, really hope Nissan can beat Porsche in the near future.

I have always found it comical how so many people who only drive their cars on the street (or even on the track at well below it's maximum capability) are so concerned with each tenth of a second when looking at competitor's cars. Most of these people would get their asses kicked by a professional driver in a "lesser" car. Bench racing at its finest.

I'm kind of confused by this thread. Zs are cool cars. Other cars are also cool. Car enthusiasts recognize that there are cars out there that do other things, sometimes better than their car. Rivalries are more for fanboys, not enthusiasts.
