glad to hear your ok man...its hard to see something like that happen to a vehicle you love.

Look at it optimistically though, you just got about $2,500 more for the car then its worth at this moment with those miles. It wouldnt sell for barely $10k private sale.

You could buy an 06+ with those miles, put a down payment on a used 370 if you really wanted to. Youv definitely got options.

I havent read through the entire thread though, did you still owe on the car?

I only had the 350z for about 8 months, I still owed $11,000 on it.

So looks like a brand new 2015 nismo 370z is worth about a week stay in the hospital with no medical insurance.

You need a lawyer ASAP!! Let their insurance company pay every dime. What o
Kind of car did they drive? Let your lawyer file the case and sue the other driver til they are broke :shakes head:

Yup, lawyer up. You should not pay a nickle. In fact you should also be getting pain and suffering.

BTW. Work all this out before buying a new sports car. You don't need the additional financial stress. That goes along with pain and suffering.

czirrfb 12-01-2014 02:39 PM

Oh trust me lol first thing I did after I got released from the hospital was go to Goldberg & Osborne - AZ personal injury lawyers. They are getting paid basically by they get 1/3rd of whatever I receive from his/my insurance for the medical bills.

jpkirk 12-01-2014 02:42 PM

So make sure they go for many many dollars above and beyond your bills. Don't forget that something like this could impact you physically years down the road. You need a new car and you shouldn't have to pay out of pocket for it in my book.

Yeah im paranoid. I had a serious head injury, I could have brain damage, im waiting to get another appointment to get an MRI done and see if everything up there is ok and my blood clot went away. My vision has been being blurry on and off lately and I cant really look at a computer screen or TV without my head hurting.

And currently the bills are reaching around $50,000 and its not over yet. So the numbers are getting scary.

But I feel like I shouldnt have to pay for ANY of this, since I was not at fault at all. I was just sitting at a stop light and he tried to run me over when I went to exchange info with him, how am I guilty? =/ I want some compensation too. He ruined my life. Took my car away. Put me in the hospital, gave me scars, made me scared to drive, took me out of work for a week and hurt my performance at work. Got people to keep sending me bills, its so stressfull. This is such a crappy place to be in right now, its depressing honestly.

czirrfb 12-01-2014 03:04 PM

My sister is saying I may end up having to owe money it all depends on how much his insurance in combination with my insurance would cover (minus my lawyers 1/3rd take from the money received for the bills.). I could very well end up owing MORE than what both his and my insurance cover in medical stuff. So how would I even get compensation $?

Drunk drivers suck! They ruin lives.

The reason I asked what car they drove is bc you can sue them personally if they have any financial assets. Meaning, they aren't driving a beater and could have money in the bank or stocks and retirement. Their insurance could easily tap out based on their coverage and I hope you have uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage in your policy to pick up the slack.

If they have money in the bank left over after Attorny fees, you can seek damages to everything you listed above, including loss of intimacy loss with partner... Seen it before believe it or not

Your situation sucks, but good luck
