Guys ill be honest, Even if I get only like 10-15k ill be super happy, but at the same time this guy literally tried to murder me and took my car from me. So I dont feel like a greedy ******* for wanting more for this. Is that wrong?
I hear stories of people suing others for silly things like slipping and falling and getting lots of $ compensation. |

people do sue for slipping, things being too hot, etc. but those are business's they usually sue or home owners. For example, we rented out a house, a guy fell down the stairs and sued us (our home insurance) and got $100,000. Another example is if a 18 wheeler were to hit you they are usually insured for a million. So it all depends where the accident occurred, who hit you, how much their policy is, etc. |
So basically if this dude has some crappy insurance that is liability I wont get much of anything? And I could even end up owing $ on medical stuff?

My 2 cents worth.
- The only person who will come out on top is the lawyer. - If the dude's insurance sucked, I doubt they will just pay whatever amount your medical bills come to (Much less pain and suffering). They are in the business to make money (just like your lawyer). - If the dude's insurance sucked, it could take a long time to see any money. In the meantime you will STILL have to pay medical bills etc. if your personal insurance won't cover it. Personally, I would not lie about anything or take any unnecessary tests. If you think the insurance company lawyers don't know the tricks and ways people lie or where to look to find evidence of fraud (like lying) you are mistaken. Again, they (the insurance company's lawyers) are there to make sure they pay as LITTLE AS POSSIBLE or delay it as long as they can. Yes, there are big settlements and there are lots that aren't or take forever in court. Yes, you should be compensated fairly (money for loss of car, loss of work, stress/pain/etc) and your necessary medical bills handled. Just don't get greedy and wind up in a deeper hole than you can get out of. James |
additionally, if you are suing, i would never say i feel better to anyone and then get more tests and stuff done. you never know who is watching / investigating you.

You guys will prolly think im BS'ing here but im eating pei wei for lunch and my fortune cookie I just opened says
"Remember one month from this date. Good things are coming!" Interesting. |
And the feeling better was in relation to the week I was in the hospital, I mean its true. Im in better condition. But nowhere near the condition I was prior to the accident, thats for sure (emotionally, physically, financially etc.)

try to find out what the other drivers policy cover first, and have your lawyer find out how much he is worth, in assets. then pursue every cent that fvcker owns for trying to kill you with his car |
My bad luck streak continues. I was riding my bike to work at 6am and almost got hit by a car pulling out to the street and I fell and hurt my ankle and messed the bike I just spent $310 on up.
