This is a tough one. I've always been a big fan of the M3's. I LOVE the look and sound of the car. I have heard many people say BMW like to fall apart when they get upwards of 50k miles. The maintenance/repairs will obviously be expensive..but as far as that goes I would say the repairs on the Z's aren't all that cheap either . My biggest issue here is you're deciding between a decently used car vs a brand new one. That M3 is gorgeous but I think I would have to go with the new Z. It's brand new=no one has driven it, zero miles, FULL warranty. I don't think I could justify spending 50k on a car that will be 4 years old and has 30k miles on it. :driving:

For 80K definitely but I was talking 428 or specifically 435, not the M.

Base M "starts"
M4 Coupe
Starting at $64,200 MSRP
26 mpg hwy*
425 horsepower

Drive both and decide. Why did you ask the forum. You will get what you get - Useless mostly uninformed opinions from people like me who have never owned an M3.
I have a M235i but its not what you are asking about. I love my new BMW and my neighbor loves his new Mercedes. We all love new cars. What you do like or love is all that matters. Go drive it.

The only logical answer; the OP wanted us to barrage him or her with pro-Z sentiment, justifying his or her decision to buy a 370.

Or, the OP is bored and wanted to star a flame war.

Either way, I sat go with the BMW. The fewer Z owners, the better. They're clearly all insane.

I'm risk averse when spending money and not the best with heel toe, so for me it would be the new Nismo with srm. That being said, I did test drive a 11 M3 and a 12Z back to back before ordering my Z. I gotta say that the M3 performance was definitely superior and if it wasn't for that damn $28K difference at the time, I'd be in one today. Good luck to you OP :tiphat:
