Totaled my car ... Aiming for 15 nimso tech 6mt

so on friday the 24th, i totaled my 2013 touring sports auto, at 13k miles .. it sucks.
got rear ended by a 03 nissan at a red light in traffic, my car slammed into the lincoln in front of me.
adjuster still has to come and take a look at the car but everything is ******, deff not trying to fix it up, chassis is also bent, rear bumper, camera, headlights, taillights, windshield, interior, airbags, front bumper , engine, etc ....
car won't go over 2k rpms / 10mph.

aiming for a 15 nismo tech 6mt

Read about this on FB pages. Hopefully all will end well for you young man. 15 Nismo, sorted!

EDIT. Just dont get black next time.

37zeroZ 10-30-2014 09:04 PM

Doesn't look totaled. Good luck!

Trips 10-30-2014 09:12 PM

WOW, Sorry to hear about what happened, But I presume that you are Okay!

Thats the important thing after all.

Element600ee 10-30-2014 09:16 PM

it dosnt look totaled to me . if they dont total it make sure you make the ins company pay you for the car being devalued due to a dirty car fax . you can usually get about 2 grand out of them for that . maybe more considering its only a year old . i know if it were mine i wouldnt want it back after that hit . it will never be the same again thats for sure . good luck brother that really sucks . at least you wernt at fault .

blackcherry20 10-30-2014 09:19 PM

Omg!
:(

evil370z 10-30-2014 09:20 PM

i am ok, just in pain, but the car will never drive the same, and even if i wanted to sell it in the future, the title would say "accident" and the value already dropped due to this accident. this car is pointless now, my mechanic came and took a look at it and said it is totaled, just waiting for the adjuster.

SwissCheese 10-30-2014 09:21 PM

That sucks! Hopefully they total it out.

yup thats what I'm hoping, this car was a thing of beauty man, i babied it, only owned it for 5 months, picked it up with 6500 miles ... it just sucks.

Zerocool 10-30-2014 09:59 PM

To be honest, man.. They might end up fixing it, it doesn't look like a total loss. bumper, hood and fender can be replaced. As long as the frame is not messed up. I've seen worse damage when I used to work as a mechanic get fixed.

my friend 2010 needed rear bumper, floor, gas tank and exhaust and that cost 8k with parts and labor. i refuse to drive this car and if they say its not totaled, ill bring it to nissan and get a huge estimate on all oem parts. from exhaust to headlights, everything then they have to total it.

evil370z 10-30-2014 10:06 PM

plus all the scratches and paint chips also goes into $$ wise. , 3 days before friday it happened i got a oil change from nissan and before they inspect the car they check for any exterior damages and there were none, so thats my proof.

MJB 10-30-2014 11:05 PM

OP, I thought you were a 6mt hater. Could have sworn I remember you saying in previous threads how much better the 7AT is. Why the change of heart with the Nismo tech 6mt?

Screw that I wouldn't even want that car anymore. That sucks major Wang! Best of luck.......Pour out a lil octane for another Z that is dead and gone.

Cell 10-30-2014 11:27 PM

Normally, I would be all for buying another Z but it is near the end of it's generation.

I honestly would wait and see what is offered by all the companies out there in the next couple years. I personally would aim for something that is stock turbo. It would give you more mod potential if you decide to mod.

3rdDanZ 10-30-2014 11:47 PM

Yeap, they're crazy; don't buy a manual NISMO - do not, regardless of the faster gears! The auto will make up for everything. If you can't wait, by any automatic Z hard top. If you can wait 2 more years, buy the next model that is going to run 12 flat.

I'm just getting tired of the auto, 6mt seems more better option

Zerocool 10-31-2014 08:56 AM

I'd probably consider an STI... AWD plus stock turbo. Simple ecu tune and upgrading the turbo will put you at a really nice power output at the wheels.

I love the 370, don't get wrong but way out your options. I know I was considering an STI for those reasons. Especially NY driving with the crappy weather and messed up roads.

This doesn't even make sense lol. I have an auto 370 and I would NOT buy the nismo in auto.

6mt > turbo > vrooom.

scorp38 10-31-2014 09:17 AM

Ouch sorry to hear. Damn Nissan drivers. Not knowing how to slow down.

kenchan 10-31-2014 09:34 AM

ouch.. you need to change that Z to F on your plates...

DEpointfive0 10-31-2014 01:01 PM

Definitely totaled. I saw your posts on FB. Feel better bro, just rest up. Car accident pains take a while to heal

UNKNOWN_370 10-31-2014 01:36 PM

Haha, that's what I was going to point out as well.

280z/300zx 10-31-2014 06:45 PM

Had an accident in my 2010 NISMO just a few months ago. My front end looked much worse than yours. They didn't total my car. I had 22k worth of damage but the adjustor estimated my car worth 33-35k (utter ********) so it wasn't totaled. I argued with the guy on three different occasions. Took 3 months to get my car back and still wasn't fixed right. Had to take it back 3 times for more repairs. Each time I called the adjustor again telling him I didn't want the car back. In the end I lost and just had to sell the car. Luckily I was ahead on my payments so I still came out with my money in my pocket. I moved on to a corvette. Point is, just because it looks totaled doesn't mean it will be. I would have sworn my was a loss and wished it would have. Would be been so much easier. Good luck to you and I hope it works in your favor.

As someone already mentioned, I perhaps wait and see what the next gen brings. That is unless you are dead set on the new NISMO.

Lol, you can fight/b****/complain all you want, they are going to do whatever costs them the least amount of money. But looking at your pictures, I would say its totaled bro.

MightyBobo 10-31-2014 11:02 PM

Definitely looks totaled. Replacing an airbag system is $$$$$. Lots of hidden damage here that isn't easy to see. In for the result...

370zHawaii 10-31-2014 11:29 PM

Glad you are ok, sorry about your Z. A while ago in some states, can't remember which ones due to all the traveling, I vaguely remember something about if the chassis/frame is damaged or bent in any way the car is considered totaled. I could be wrong but that is what I was thinking when I read your first post. Anyway the others are right, even though the adjuster can not physically see it, there is a great amount of internal damage. Being sandwiched like that almost guarantees a TLoV. Now I remember what state it was and when, it was here in Florida when I was stationed at the Ranger Training Brigade, in 2000. My buddy had the same thing happen to him and they totaled out his Lude, he was distraught about it for months because that was his baby, his first etc etc. He ended up getting a newer one shortly after they TLoV his ride. Anyway BOT glad you're ok, also not to sound like an A-Hole but get a lawyer and go to the doctor ASAP if you haven't already to get checked out. Why because usually adrenaline supersedes pain from injury and you might not feel anything for weeks. Just something to think about.

scorp38 10-31-2014 11:32 PM

I used to work at precision collision and a bent frame rail most definitely doesn't mean its totaled . we had a new Acura MDX that was destroyed, not a straight panel on it. We did 65k worth of work to it because it was cheaper than replacing it with a new one. lol that thing was ****** up.

That's the problem your at the mercy of the insurance claim adjustor and the body shop estimators. Which in my experience is never a good thing.
