True auto is easier to go fast no doubt, but I would never drag my 370z. Road course, I'm in. I would get owned by an auto on a road course as we'll but for me there is something special about that direct connection to the power feeling you get with only a manual transmission. I do own 1 auto vehicle, and I feel like falling asleep at the wheel.

Fanboy dribble that has been repeated here xxx,xxx times. There's pros and cons to each transmission. To each his own and at 160mph you aren't worried about the stick on the floor. You're worried about keeping your hands on the wheel and not smacking into the guard rails.

Just seems like a waste of engine. Without the ability to shift when you choose, either manual or paddles, then the auto is never going to take you anywhere near the red line.
Again, what a waste.

You don't need paddles to manually shift the automatic, you can still use the shift selector. You just move it over to the left and shift away.

No paddle shifters on this car, and this guy can get girls.
