My Bad...
Wow, when I started this thread, I had no idea I'd be resurrecting the 7AT vs. Manual thread! I'll be more careful next time. :wtf2:

Fanboy dribble that has been repeated here xxx,xxx times. There's pros and cons to each transmission. To each his own and at 160mph you aren't worried about the stick on the floor. You're worried about keeping your hands on the wheel and not smacking into the guard rails. |

Well let's just say we are proud owners of our Z's and glad to poke a little fun at each other for the small differences with them. I do like answering the question everyone's asks me tho. "Why do you have an automatic in a sports car?" Technology has pretty much evened them out. I love the manuals as well but as I get older I have come to terms that it's easier and more fun to drive with automatic but I also realize that I have lost that feel of being one with the Z with the manual.

Jacking time!!!!
So if we thought the base was bad with no paddle shifters the c300 for 2014 (without the tech packages) does NOT come with an automatic garage door opener. Atleast the base Z has an automatic garage door opener STANDARD!!!! I mean come on... last time I checked M-B c-series were the entry level luxury... |

all i care about is... CAN I DRIVE SIDEWAYS AND BE COOL? |
Just seems like a waste of engine. Without the ability to shift when you choose, either manual or paddles, then the auto is never going to take you anywhere near the red line.
Again, what a waste. |
