There's a DIY on here about attaching little rubber discs to the back of the paddle shifters to take up some of the slack. I did that and it helped make them feel a lot more crisp.

cooltoy 09-24-2014 04:52 PM

People have changed the shift knob.

Malm 09-24-2014 05:05 PM

New wheels, carbon fiber wing, lip, and side blades.. new stereo + speakers/sub , ark grip ii exhaust, weathertech mats, Z emblems. Prob some other stuff I forgot

Dwight Frye 09-24-2014 05:13 PM

Your 7AT is attending grammar lessons

SlowRollin 09-24-2014 05:15 PM

I put some new gas in mine when the gas got low.

grandpawmoses 09-24-2014 05:19 PM

I converted mine to "thought control" so I wouldn't have to shift gears. Only took $5 worth of parts from Radio Shack and a good size piece of tinfoil for the hat.

I have every stillen mod made for the 7at. And I do mean every one. I have 440whp and 327tq. Getting my tranny built at level 10 on October 13th to handle over 700whp. Also talking to AAM about building my motor over this winter and then installing their new TT system

DEpointfive0 09-24-2014 05:30 PM

I have aftermarket paddles, and I'll be installing a cooler soon as well as... Stuff...

So-Cal thought: "Eh, I don't want to drive manual in traffic." Turns out, my commute never has any traffic.

De, did u go with autotecknic or another brand of paddles? $?

Limeybastard 09-24-2014 10:36 PM

Lovin' the 7AT. And this is coming from a middle aged man that owned manuals all his life.

I must love it so much, it stays in D most times and rarely the minus paddle is used to merely downshift.

Prototyper5 09-24-2014 11:04 PM

I too am typically a driver of manual transmissions, but the test drive of the 7AT sold me personally...it didn't feel like the "auto's" of old'....I Love Mine'+5

When sitting in a traffic jam I would love to have an auto but that feeling quickly goes away when the road opens up :driving:
My other vehicle is auto and is a blessing to drive around the city.

Those wheels look like the wheels you see on base Chrysler 300s at Mexican mini mart auto dealers.

I added the RJM Engineering clutch pedal assembly. That helped quite a bit. Wait. You said 7AT. Nevermind.

JWillis72 09-25-2014 08:44 AM

Only things done to the 7AT itself is a Stillen cooler and tuning with UpRev. If you plan to track the car and it's a touring you should also get a LSD because the tourings have an open dif

I love my 7AT, you'll appreciate it even more after you drive a Lamborghini aventador, both are single clutch transmissions.:happydance:

A Lamborghini Aventador uses a torque converter?

No it doesn't, which is another reason why it shows how Nissan did an amazing job with the 7AT. The aventador has a 7 speed transmission with a double plate clutch (DRY). But it's still a single clutch transmission.:tiphat:

I don't think you understood, lol.

The 7AT is not a single clutch, or any clutch. It's a regular auto with a torque converter. But I do agree that they did a damn good job

FPenvy 09-25-2014 09:45 AM

My wife, Mrs. Dr. onzedge™ refuses to drive automatics. Even her Juke is 6 MT.

My mom's Cadillac has an auto. She likes it.

Then how come the MT owners high jacked this post to become another AT versus MT discussion? :stirthepot:

I am only here because the thread's title caught my eye. The atrocious grammar and near-incomprehensible meaning of it intrigued me.
