I'd be OK if the public name was Z35. It would be a hard break from the "Engine displacement + Z" that has been going on since the car's inception, but the important letter is still there and that's all that matters. IMO, Nissan should just call it "Z" and drop the displacement, so they can have fun with the engine builds. I would rather that, then them do something silly, like call it a 390z because their turbo six pot puts out the same power as a NA 3.9L engine. The Germans are guilty of this and with the rumors of Mercedes building the power plant, I could see it happening.
