To the original poster... There's a time a place for everything. I hate getting tickets too, but I'd say your best bet is to try to get them to drop the charges to an infraction and pay the ticket.

I feel that the greater majority of law enforcement is corrupt. I have a lot of friends in law enforcement and they tell me all sort of shenanigans that go on.

Getting a break from receiving a ticket(s) for violating traffic laws does not constitute or even suggest corruption in law enforcement agencies. It was only a silly and facetious remark.

If you need a serious response……………

While unquestionably obvious, the best way to avoid a ticket is to simply follow the traffic law.
If you choose to drive a bright red sports car, you will draw attention to yourself over somebody driving a sedan.
Don't expect a break on a traffic ticket if you have an "I can't drive 55" bumper sticker.
Remember that there is an increasing probability that your entire transaction with the officer will be videotaped.
