Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I worked it out, having a winter beater seems to work out great. It cost me the same amount in insurance to have a beater

It cost me the same amount in insurance to have a beater and the z as insuring only the z by itself (multi car bundles), and it cost me the same if I were to get a set of winter tires plus cheap rims versus getting a beater. Now, just the warranty thing....
