I'm a fan of s2k too that's why I would never hellaflush it out!

The article that the licence office released didn't mention that it was illegal. They just spoke about it. Either ways, anyone who gets pulled over and rub marks are found on the tires, the owner will be sent to inspection. There isn't a hellaflush ticket.

kenchan 08-13-2014 08:32 PM

be funny if taffyapples were just driving around normal cars and getting pulled over.

That's good to know. Rubbing sidewalls is an objective way to define "unsafe".

Aescen 08-13-2014 10:23 PM

this might just be the fact that I live in a remote type of area with no real car scene... but i thought these "hellaflush" stance cars were just show cars. i never thought people actually drove around like that... don't they like... have other wheels they throw on when they go to and from car shows?

axmea? 08-14-2014 12:24 AM

Another mindless law that will be inconsistently applied and randomly enforced. This from the minds of low level lawmakers who needs to put something on the board for the sake of making their mark. Go spend time on something meaningful for society not this absurd law going after a minority interests.

Masterbeatty 08-14-2014 06:44 AM

I wish CT gets a sniff of this. I can't count on two hands how many times a hellaflush car slowed down traffic on the freeway and I am going the speed limit in my Z the way it sits now. Plus I love seeing cars in New England that are hella flushed and their wheel wells are rusting away when it's a very late model car. Hahhahaha.

Look what showed up page 1 from the link in the first post...It's a 350, but still a Z

I think it defeats the point of having a Z if you do this.

I'm curious though. Do hellaflush guys actually drive these cars or are they just for show?
I haven't seen too many on the road.

every time i'm bored and decide to subject myself to one of the "tuesday tuner" meets (this is only if i'm really THAT bored and wanna get out) then about 50% of the cars are stanced or working on it. obviously none are trailer to this type of event either.

also for example when driving home sunday i drove past a group of 5 subies that were all riced and stanced. now you wanna talk about cars that strayed far from the path of what they were intended for then it would be a stanced subie lol

speedfreek 08-14-2014 08:43 AM

I think we are blowing this way out of porportion. Clearly the subies you saw this past Sunday that were stanced along with all the others are just preparing for going back to the future. October 21, 2015 is coming up fast so they only have so much time left to get that stance to the max!

They very rarely have air bags. Most of the idiots who do this are teenagers so safety is an afterthought and cutting corners is rampant. Trying to convince an 18 yr old to spend $3-4k on bags vs. just cutting his springs with a hack saw is an exercise in futility.

nice! I've had so many cars that ive looked back on and just thought, why??

I think my best creation was my caprice wagon that was all shaved and bagged. 4 12's where the flip up rear seat was, 3 TV's, 3/4" line so i could hop if i set up nitrogen instead of air lol.

vividracing 08-14-2014 12:54 PM

As much as I hate stanced cars perhaps just keep it to events, make them illegal to drive on public roads.. To each there own but good riddance

The shop that did the work on my caprice had a portfolio of all the jobs where they fixed other peoples **** ups. and let me tell you... That was some entertaining stuff to see. "custom fabricators" :rofl2:

SouthArk370Z 08-14-2014 01:16 PM

I don't care what you call it, excessive camber and mismatched wheels/tires are unsafe for other people on the road. It makes for, arguably, great looking show/parade cars but keep 'em off the road, please.

yea front control arms and bag set-up was "custom"......that i had to remake completely because it rubbed holes in the front bags. soooo switched to 3 or 4ply bags cant remember and had no rub issues after refabbing it all.

In New Brunswick which borders on Quebec there is the young crowd
and they are very much into stanced cars. Not a fan here. But to each their own. Dont want the fuzz checking my car with all the go fast crap on it as well.

I remember people used to put those little things on their back bumper, or on the frames that would throw all those sparks when you would drag going down the street. That was a great way to get cops attention lol:hello:
