carbon fiber front liecense area cover

I needed something to cover the big holes left in the front of my car (where the license plate is supposed to go)

I found this The Z Store! Nissan-Datsun 240Z-260Z-280Z-280ZX-300ZX(Z31/Z32)-350Z-370Z Parts: Carbon Fiber Front License Area Cover, 09-10 370Z

the only thing is its $144 !!!

That's a very nice cover. However, as a cheap alternative, I can tell you what I did. When I complained to the dealer about the 2 holes remaining when the front plate holder was removed, he provided a black plastic screw-like piece for each hole that he gently tapped into place. Each hole has a small bump (head of the "screw') which isn't really noticeable and is not at all unattractive. Took 30 seconds. No cost. Just an alternative.

And someone here also found some inexpensive plastic plugs at a hardware store (I can't remember the thread).

Yep, that's what they are, except the ones I got are even better 'cause they were free!

Bumper plugs are $30. You can find the plain flat black plugs in the hardware drawers at Lowes or Home Depot.for 80 cents. like what Old Guy is referring to, they'll disappear in that black bumper area.. They come in a variety of sizes too, depending on the hole you need to cover. I just did these for my GTI with a little touch-up paint and a squirt of clear...It had some seriously nasty 5/8ths holes there..(Previous owner had front plate laws in his state)

Yep.. I also got the Lowes plugs and just used some touch-up paint.

Yep, that's pretty much what they gave me, except mine are made of the same color black plastic as the bumper piece and even seemed to have the same rough texture as the car's material and just blended in absolutely perfectly. No painting or anything at all required.
