I'm talking about if Nissan were to build the Z35, I would want Nissan to build their Own Version of a LSX, hence at least a V8, to come in the new Z, me personally am a little over a "big" 6 cyl....but that's just opinion, cheers'

Oh yeah, back on topic. Autoweek stated that sources from Nissan say that the next Z will be an "internationally" marketed car. The Z was a Japan and North American market car, until now. Hence, a 2.0 4-cyl turbo and a 6-cyl hybrid are definitely in the works. The GT-R is Nissan's halo car as the Z steps out of the limelight. Better look at Corvette, Mustang, Camaro if you want raw "throw me back in the seat" torque with 12 sec 1/4's all day long. Or if you can afford it, go the Cayman/991 (3.4) route with 320 hp, mid engine, and high 12s via superior German engineering. The Z will lower its status as a "FR-S, Mustang V6/4-cyl-turbo, Miata" competitor....Nissan has dropped the baton. I will not look forward to the next Z.

Maybe the 4 cylinder version will compete with the frz and miata, but the 6 cylinder version shouldn't aim to compete in a lower category than the Z is in now.

We can only dream for a V8 though lol. It would surely knock my socks off if that happened

there's no way the Z will have a bigger engine than the gt-r so a v8 isn't happening

A turbo four mated to a hybrid drive would out perform the z34, and the 3.0 turbo with a hybrid setup could be 400+ hp easily. I'm pretty sure that instant torque from the potential hybrid system in these cars will provide plenty of the throw you back in your seat feeling your looking for.

Oh god, in the article it says it may take a few more years. As if we haven't waited long enough :shakes head:

I wouldn't want a v8 Z, especially the vk, that make it more front heavy. I'd rather see a smaller displacement twin turbo v6.

For the people complaining about waiting, I waited for 2 years on stupid little updates and rumors for the Mustang. Part of the reason I bought the Z was how long it was taking to get any real info from Ford. And then they made it a fatass car, so it all worked out owning the Z.

I strongly dislike the new mustang. In fact I strongly dislike a lot of the 2015 cars being pumped out by the manufacturer's.

Let's see what happens because in my eyes, they(all the car manufactuerer's) aren't shifting toward more performance, they are shifting toward a few common things. Efficiency, gimmicky, and boring. The cars now are starting to become too tame and boring aside from a few on the market. The ones that aren't are riddled with issues or way outside the budget.

If only the 80-90's era for cars came back and we'd have every company have atleast 1 sports car.

An aluminum block V8 would likely be lighter than a 6 once you add in the turbos and plumbing.
