The difference comes down to how much is being taken in at the acceleration to speed and events along the way now in comparison to then. Very different. This was in relation to the current crop of super/hyper cars and why manuals have disappeared in them. High end race cars that turn both left and right are starting to lose the manual clutch system. It is the way of it.
