Want to get back into a sleeper. Probably going to do an early 2000's Lexus GS300 and swap in a 2jz-gte.
I'll still be on the boards though

Thank for the tip.
I'm thinking about the honeycomb mesh or round holes, but don't want to invest to much money or time, going back to the 13/14 nismo front.
This one will be for sale soon.
the 15+ Nismo front don't cut it for me.

Then there's no point putting extra money in it.

I went to Metal Supermarket and got an offcut 1x3 sheet of stainless round holes for $7. Have enough left I've been contemplating making little cutouts for it in my rear diffuser between the tailpipes and fog light. Will see.

i c... but mang, those yellow tops are meh from my experience. weak cca considering ure supposed to be able to use it as a deep cycle. dere are only 3 batteries dat died under my ownership prematurely and one of dem was da yellow top. the other 2 were defective batteries honda gave me on 2 brand new cars i bought.

id just get some decent group35 at my local auto parts store or walmart if mine ever went bad. which is probably never before i sell da Z cause im still on da original battery 8yrs in. my old G's battery was a 12 yrs old factory battery when i sold her and she started up fine even in cold (0F) weather. simple maintenance goes a long way.. quite literally.

Optima went way downhill somewhere around 10 years ago when the company was sold to a bigger fish, who implemented their own manufacturing techniques and QC. They aren't at all what they used to be.

Amazing what a little mesh in the right place can do for a car.

This isn't nearly done but coming together pretty well I think. Been contemplating this for quite a while now and your post gave me the tip off the fence I needed
