Had a cop do a double take on me yesterday on the opposite side of the road. Wasn't even doing anything. Usually they don't even see the Z. So... I drove close to the speed limit in to work this morning and I'll be doing the same on the way home.

I normally fill up around 1/4 tank in my cars as a feel good measure. I know I can go more, but why? The Z I normally fill at just under half tank due to it's stupid fuel starvation issues.

Some light reading then went back to check it out... and NO play like in the other video. It was somewhat warmed up before and has been sitting since, can't imagine that making a difference but I really don't know.
Even more confused now than before |

I cleaned my mafs.....Im the 2nd owner of my Z, I bought it about 6 months ago. I dont know the previous owner or anything about the life my Z led before me. Shortly after purchase, I had an Ark Grip cat-back installed as well as I installed a set of R2C dropins. There was a minor bit of performance increase as noticed by the butt dyno, but today I got to thinking, I wonder if the previous owner used oiled intake filters and if so, did he over oil them. Now when i bought my Z, it had brand new stock paper filters installed, so its possible.
Welp, the maf cleaning today indeed improved performance a lil' bit so Im assuming yes on my previous speculation. Oh....Im really diggin' the Ark Grip sound, damn near intoxicating. |

Later in the day I showed the vids to a supercharger rebuild shop and was told the slow side bearings weren't pressed in fully to retain the shaft (my layman terminology not his) so in it goes. The bearings need to be replaced and hopefully that's all, but st this point wouldn't be surprised if there was more. Hate the idea of sending something in like this with basically a blank check but in this case it is better than me opening it up and hoping I fixed it peorperly and addressed any and all issues. Just want to be able to bolt it back on with no worries like I should have been able to do in the first place. |

Texas is huge. Yesterday I drove to Ozona and back. Not Arizona. The total driving distance would have taken me all the way to the Arizona border. As it was though, I barely drove halfway to El Paso

Sounds like you are over in my neck of the woods. I'm about 2 hours East of Houston.
We adopted a dog to a family from Ozona, and met up with them at the rest area out by Columbus. Next time you go thru there, stop in Schulenberg and eat at Frank's restaurant. Good homestyle cooking. At least until October. They're closing after 90 years. Kirk B. |

![]() It's been years, but I've eaten at Frank's dozens of times when I was a kid on our way to visit family in the Houston area. Terrible news they are closing Next time I'm headed to Houston, I will definitely make sure to swing by.

They're just as proud of those,as the front uppers. I like the adjustability on the mid-links(toe & ride height)...think I'm going that way when I drop mine a tad. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Pulled over for 80+ in a 65 today. Super chill cop. Didn't even give me a written warning - just told me to slow down. Yes sir!
![]() Also, had to tell some 16 year old to put down his phone while driving. He gave me some lip and I put him in his place at the next light where we had a chance to chat. Fuckin entitled millenials or whatever that generation is called
