FYI,
Just in case you don't know a dealer normally has 3 levels of pricing.

1= Full retail
2= Very Good customers
3= Employee Pricing.

You want to be at 2 or better. Some dealerships may have more levels of pricing. So, if you are a good customer at the parts counter, you get
very good discounts. Don't be a jerk. All dealerships have this pricing from Chevrolet to Toyota, etc.

I noticed that one dealer here in town gives me better pricing on parts than the other two. But it's not because I'm a nice customer. I have yelled at them plenty; more than once they have tried to sell me copper crush washers for my transmission and differential fill/drain plugs even when I give them the damn part number

It's sad that I have to do that. Any time they screw up something like that, I just walk over to the showroom GT-R and just start commenting loudly on how many swirls are in the paint and that I'd be pissed if my $100K car had paint looking like this. That always makes me feel better

Well, you know those washers are reusable right. I have never needed to replace a single one of them, ever.

An automatic uses the same copper crush washer on the drain plug on the older cars, probably the same for this one.

They are noted as one-use washers in the service manual And IMO they are not expensive enough to bother reusing (even at the full retail price of ~$2.50/washer). I did once in a pinch when the dealer screwed up and only had one washer for me (again... idiots smdh). But if you look closely, they are definitely layered and do crush slightly. You could also probably reuse the copper crush washer on the oil drain plug if you really wanted to. I choose not to. YMMV

Are you confusing the copper crush washer on the oil drain plug for the aluminum washer/gasket for transmission/differential fill/drain plugs? Not sure what you're getting at with your second statement
