sounds good. is this a long trip? might even suggest using some painter's tape on the bumper, part of hood, fender,
and side mirrors, unless you have clearbra installed.

i usually carry qd with me too, and a couple of mf towels to wipe off bugs
along the way.

Or just use a trailer to transport your show car...

I love my Z and am disappointed by any body damage that may happen, but I'm not going to stress out about picking up some "character" marks along the way. Might as well not drive the thing if those are the lengths taken to go from place to place. Just like people afraid to drive in the rain... I'm in FL, if I thought like that, I could only drive the car three months out of the year.

Ah, we all have spots in our lives where we are a little anal. I respect kenchan for being anal enough to qd his car after every ride. Me... it's my kitchen. Everything has its place and everything in its place. It's why I banned my wife from the kitchen. She's fine with that BTW. Now it's the Z. Other cars I used to let Jiffy Lube change the oil, (my wife preferred stealership), and decent auto carwashes, etc. Nobody else washes the Z, I change my own oil, and will do other maintenance as well. It is what it is.

Drove Z to the grocery store. It's only 1.1 miles to the East by way of the main road. Twisty back roads is about 20 miles total. 5 miles North, 10 miles SE, and 5 miles WNW. Guess which one I chose.

420 km one way, do a few hundred in gatineau. Got 4 microfibers, a quart of oil and hopefully my parents dslr.

needless to say it's gonna require another wash next week:)

I pulled these out of the mould today...

Fabricated with hood strut reliefs. No more bulging hood. :happy dance:

Now I just need to clean them up.
