do it. sports car requires nice looking pedals.

Why's that? It's not like someone is going to shove their face in the footwell and go "WHAT THE ****"

If I was you, Id try out some gold pedals. Would be a good start on getting gold instead of red in the interior. :hello:

Because they are a part that are not going to be seen 90% of the time.

I can totally see gold/red two-tone pedals in his interior. Tits! :excited:

Something that isn't mentioned in the DYI install is while it's still rigged you should loosen the clevis end before removing the stock assembly.

or you could do it my way and find out afterwards you should have done it first.... luckily I'm local to Ryan and gave him a shout and he recommended a screwdriver to help break loos the nuts.

Oh and if I had to install the RJM again... I'd rather pay someone else to do it. I'm pretty damn petite but I did not enjoy the contorting around even with two towels down and foam pad for the knees. :wtf2:

Anyways enjoy!!! my setting is 50% and I love it. Much smoother manual rev matching and smoother n-1 1-2 shifts with a lot less effort. :happydance:

Being 6' 1" and 230 lbs, petite I am not, nor am I as flexible as I used to be. In short, I'm really not looking forward to installing this thing. But I'd rather take a couple hours (or more) and do it myself than pay someone to do it. At least, with me doing it, I know it's done right.

I'll definitely make note of your tips. Anything to make things go smoothly. Thanks!

You are pretty much exactly my size. I've done four RJM clutch pedal installs now. Let me tell you the newest version is so much easier to install and adjust than the old one. You shouldn't have any troubles if you're at all mechanically inclined, but it's not exactly a fun install.

The best tip I have is to set up something next to the driver side that is just about door sill height (I use an old wooden file cabinet turned on its side - it is pretty sturdy). Add blankets and pillows to provide cushioning for you and to protect the car's paint. This will make it much more tolerable working on your back down in the footwell. If you start to feel cramped or are just uncomfortable, spend your time down there in short 5-10 min sessions. I found that the better the cushioning, the easier it is to spend longer periods down there.

Black/gold/carbon outside, black/red inside

Well if you want a fifth RJM install under your belt, come on over to FL and install mine. I'll buy you lunch and dinner! LOL

More great tips. Thanks! So no need to put the car up on ramps I guess. Sounds like that would make things more difficult.

Today I also tried to tighten up my steering wheel tensioner per this thread: http://www.the370z.com/engine-drivet...ring-rack.html The nut was covered in much more gunk than the OP's pic in that thread and quite loose. After about 3/4 turn it tightened up a bit. I gave it at least another 1/2 turn and a test drive, but I'm still not happy with the steering play. I have an appointment scheduled with the dealer tomorrow to look at it as well as the flashing airbag light on my dash.

Map lenses. Phone won't upload but most posters likely did this long ago.

They shouldn't be GT-R lenses but more of "WTF Nissan stop holding out".

Don't be afraid to take the seat out to give you some room to turn wrenches.
