:rofl2: Today I tried to engage the clutch in my rented Altima. The car came to an abrupt stop as I used my left foot to apply the brakes hard.

But... just how often do you change your oil?? the filter's labeled 6/15 55k miles and am assuming 2500 until 60k warranty is ~2500 miles? unless you tracked it??(it caught my eye because I do the same thing, all our appliances are so labeled to keep track of purchase dates, ie do we repair the '06 dishwasher or just replace it)
mostly unrelated but when I just got mine I got a free "lifetime" power train warranty which really works for me as I tend to keep my toys so I'll still be posting here when you've all moved on to the390z.com

Keep mine too; 92' K1500 Blazer(got April 2000 w/112,000mi.)now has 312,000miles.
96' C1500 since new-223,000miles & 2011~Z~ (w/only 8700mi.) since May 2013...now has 57,842mi...(Ethanol Free Gas used in all 3)

The invoice said they used 74804-02031 synthetic which looks like it's 5W30 but the little sticker on the window says 0W20:

Should I call 'em and ask WTF? Drain it? When these freebies are gone, I intend to buy the Redline kit from Z-1 and DIY but as long as they're free don't mind paying a nominal amount for the convenience of it, but yeesh.

Sounds like what I did to a rented RAV 4. I kept slamming it into Park after backing out of a parking space....:icon23:

Yep; every 2500 miles. Averaged 26.1mpg since last oil change...it's been hot & been running the A/C more than the Lead-Foot

[gathers forum members for an intervention...]

after I blew up my 350 (with a poorly thought out DIY turbo install) I then only changed the oil filter every 10-12k miles, I was adding a quart every 2 months due to a slooow rear main seal leak so figured the oil was being changed that way, it lasted another 50k miles after I blew up then fixed myself (new pistons/
rods and oil pan)
I just let it leak as I'd already had to pull the engine twice due to screwing up the oil rings install the first time, spy-hunter level smoke screen throughout the test drive [i did have to swear to MrsBurntz I'd never put a turbo on this one, apparently I have a one engine limit (hello supercharger!)]

consider sending off your oil to be tested, if they say "why did you send us new oil" you could lengthen your interval, I'm hoping you don't use synthetic Enjoy!:driving:

I'm interested in a picture showing the other side and just how close you're to the wall, back up camera equipped? I pull straight in with the passenger mirror 2-3" from my work bench but WOULD NOT want to back in at the same spacing

http://i334.photobucket.com/albums/m...psacrie13h.jpg

i did back out once with my 350 and the mirror caught a dangling circular saw power cord avalanching it down onto the hood "fuuuuuuuuu....":owned: myself

& to stay on thread topic I'm off to paint the chrome around my Zs charcoal grey, that's my last chrome bit on my MB 370, I 'black chromed' everything else but that wee outline was too annoying to tape off

here's a pic I sent to my wife at work the day after I picked it up...

I did something that will probably get me a lot of hate on here but whatever. I like it. And yes it'll only be on when parked.

I drove it again last night barefoot. Definitely softer on my trip out. But when I turned it back on to head home, it was back to normal. This morning it wasn't totally normal either, but not as bad as yesterday. Whee! :ugh2:

I have the Z1 CSC Elimination Kit, so it's definitely not the CSC failing. I would normally first think to adjust the Z1 cylinder a 1/2 turn, but the fact that it was completely normal after getting soft leads me to believe that the master is failing again. I am going to order one now just to have. I will probably attempt to bleed the clutch next week sometime and see where that gets me.

Having my F14's finally put on today (assuming the tires show up) 305/30-19 and 255/35-19

Pretty excited. She will then need a good wash and wax to look nice for tomorrow.
