Dropped it off at a friends shop last night...
32K miles on it so it was over due for the 30K mile service, I had the oil changed several days ago (Royal Purple HPS with royal purple filter)... The air filters are in good shape still and even then, I intend on getting an intake in the next month or so. I'm using Redline MT-85 in the transmission and Redline 75W90 for the rear diff and for the hell of it, I'm having him install the TWM short shifter (already had a TWM Abrams M1 shift knob)... Then probably have it detailed when I pick it up if he's done before 5. |

But... just how often do you change your oil?? the filter's labeled 6/15 55k miles and am assuming 2500 until 60k warranty is ~2500 miles? unless you tracked it??(it caught my eye because I do the same thing, all our appliances are so labeled to keep track of purchase dates, ie do we repair the '06 dishwasher or just replace it) mostly unrelated but when I just got mine I got a free "lifetime" power train warranty which really works for me as I tend to keep my toys so I'll still be posting here when you've all moved on to the390z.com |

wheel spacers, exhaust and side splitters will be next.
coils by the end of the year. spacers since I haven't decided which wheels to go with yet and I'm being extremely picky. |

Yep; every 2500 miles. Averaged 26.1mpg since last oil change...it's been hot & been running the A/C more than the Lead-Foot Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
First oil change. Local dealer told me free for dino or pay difference on synthetic which was $30 so went for it. Apparently they used 0W20 instead of 5W30 though.

The invoice said they used 74804-02031 synthetic which looks like it's 5W30 but the little sticker on the window says 0W20: http://images.peakauto.com/full_synt...otor_specs.pdf Should I call 'em and ask WTF? Drain it? When these freebies are gone, I intend to buy the Redline kit from Z-1 and DIY but as long as they're free don't mind paying a nominal amount for the convenience of it, but yeesh. |

I get $10 synthetic oil changes at dealership. The last time they did not use synthetic and yes. I made them do it again. |

Either way, I would just buy the Redline kit at next opportunity and go ahead and DIY. No rush, but I wouldn't bother waiting a full oil change cycle. $30 gone, no big deal. Dealers swindle way more from customers on a regular basis. |
Today on the drive home, my clutch felt funky. Like softer but earlier engagement and not allowing me to put the car in gear. Turns out my clod hopper of a boot was catching on the edge of the carpet on the dead pedal. Phew :D
