My Lil man is sick...when I turn the steering wheel to the left or right I get this really noisy squeaky sound. Any idea what it is? I will take

Squeaky noise from steering wheek
My Lil man is sick...when I turn the steering wheel to the left or right I get this really noisy squeaky sound. Any idea what it is? I will take it to nissan monday but trying to figure out of I should park it over the weekend. Thanks for the thoughts. ..

My first guess is that something inside the steering column has moved and is scraping against the shaft. If you can't feel it in the wheel, I wouldn't be too concerned about driving the car over the weekend but I would keep a close eye/ear on things and shut him down if I noticed things getting worse.

Thanks southark...i caught the stealer ship just before closing. I'm taking him in at 7:30 tomorrow morning. Will probably have to leave it till next week, thank goodness for my beater. Stay tuned!

According to the tech I need a new ball joint from spc. Simple enough...will find my receipt because I can't remember who I ordered the front control arms from. Thanks guys! Will order monday and hope it is the fix.
