Lol, my wife drives a white Fit. She put stickers on the hatch for easy identification.

My wife is a car girl. She knows my car and we will switch from time to time and I'll drive hers. We fight a lot in the garage over who gets to DIY... :icon17:

Those red emblems would look sweet on a white car...

Akurei 07-18-2014 12:43 PM

I'm gonna take out the passenger seat and always have the keys in my pocket. So if she wants to ride with me she will have to lay down on the floor or trunk, and if she wants to drive the car she will have to get it out of my pants. Nah just joking :o

I don't let anyone drive my cars though unless I trust their ability to drive or don't care about the car

I was like, "Um.... why? Are you driving it to work?" (I work from home)

She said, "yes I want to see why wanted this car so much".

(can't think of a good excuse for her not to take it)

So I said, "well let me turn it around and get the seat jacked up so you can see"

As she left she smiled menacingly and said, "I'll TRY not to wreak it"

She rolled to the end of the driveway and while I stood there sweating. WIDE OPEN THROTTLE FIRST GEAR ALL THE WAY TO REDLINE!!! I hear the motor wind back down and wait for the crash sound. But nothing...

So I go inside and call her, "Did you figure out how to take it out of manual?" :rofl2:

She said "Yep, I got it" as I hear the car screaming down the road in the background.

wow... :eekdance:

I have the Z for 2 years now and she has not ridden it since.

Does that tells you how much she loves my car?
Whats with wives having issues with cars!

I wish I have Hucks wife! Ahhh I mean somebody like her who love for her man's car!:ugh2:

What was the secret?

b15 07-18-2014 01:18 PM

I'm pretty sure my wife tries to ignore everything about my car. Fine with me!

dP3NGU1N 07-18-2014 01:19 PM

My girlfriend is vaguely aware of some lady who lives in my garage and seems to take up a lot of my time.

axmea? 07-18-2014 02:49 PM

I had to Google what fap meant. Geez. I'm way behind.
Good stories out here. paperboy is halfway there. I'll find out tonight when we meet at the restaurant parking lot for our Friday night dates.

mine knows ive done stuff but she says its in one ear and out the other. she loves horses and the same thing happens with me about clothes and tack stuff. she loves cars though which is so frustrating! she wants to be a F1 driver and watches the racing alone with MotoGP, Pirelli WC etc. but refuses to work on the car or learn about parts. to each their own i guess.

The girl I've been hanging out with lately is a car chick. She loves the Z. Wants to drive it... I may allow it.

Always good on a cold motor.

JWillis72 07-21-2014 10:00 AM

My wife know the car fairly well and enjoys driving it. She could tell you most of what has been done to it but couldn't tell you what some of the things do. We were at a rib cook off yesterday and someone asked me how much I have in the car and she responded " way to much!" and I left it at that. She has a love hate relationship with my Z, she loves the car but not how much money I spend on it. A couple weeks ago she told me I should just order a new Z06 and get it over with but since then she keeps reminding me that she was being sarcastic and that I don't have permission to order one.

katjmmx 08-11-2014 05:49 PM

I used to be "the girlfriend" of a Z06 lover. Now I have my NISMO and he's "the boyfriend." :-)

So, she actually got to drive it. Decided that I wasn't quite fit to drive one night and asked her to drive me home. She was pretty giddy. :D

She likes the Z though... we just did a mountain road up to Prescott and then back and she really liked that. ;) As the passenger of course.

Arrvaxx 08-11-2014 06:29 PM

She knows how to get in it without me pulling the brake and looking for scratches.

She knows that an "oh ****" handle is not an option so she will have to rely on the door handles.

She knows that i will go through a drive thru but she is eating on the curb.

And she knows that I love her for knowing that my love for my car could never compare to my love for her.

Hilarious, love it. No food or drink in the Z!!

TimBob 08-12-2014 02:06 PM

When my Orange Chevy Avalanche turned into a Black 370Z the fiancee noticed, but she probably wouldn't notice minor changes to my car. Not that I have any planned at this time though.

Separate checking accounts will ensure that she won't know about them financially either.
