I heard about how bad the hail was up in that area. That is awful man, I hope you find your way back in a Z again.

Correct me off I am wrong but you do appear to be taking up two parking spaces. I am pretty sure they will deny your your claim for being parked illegally. Those dents will come right out with a few hits from a ball peen hammer. Ha ha just kidding. Hopefully you are paid off our at least right side up on your payments.

We had a little hail and heavy rain here in Delaware but nothing like what happened in your area. Hope everything works out for you with your claim.

Every panel on the car is so dimpled it looks like a goddamned golf ball. Anything that was plastic is cracked, every light housing is shattered, the windshield is cracked in so many places I can't even count them all and the back window just completely blew out. It even destroyed my gas cap cover...I found it halfway across the parking lot. I would have been hard pressed to do this much damage with a baseball bat before I tired out.

It's been a fun couple of years, but I guess the Z wasn't meant to be. Maybe it's time to get a Prius or something.

That makes me sick to my stomach.

I am sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of mourning and grief.

We got some nasty hail here in Indiana also but nothing like that! I was glad I was driving my truck and not "Tina" or I would have just cried and walked home. If there is a cloud in the sky she doesn't come out of the batcave.

The destruction in that parking lot is uncanny!

Really glad you didn't get hurt. Hate to see such damage to a beautiful car though. I guess mother nature wanted to you get one of the new Nismos.

jcosta79 05-23-2014 09:26 AM

So I guess now would be a bad time to give you grief for taking 2 parking spaces?

That sucks dude. Best of luck, hope we see you in a shiny new Z soon.

Sorry about that. It looks like a lot of damage...

Insurance claim !!!

Had it happen to my previous car and was covered by my insurance company. Just my deductible was taken out, but they gave me a check for $2,500.00. Ended up putting towards a down payment for my z.

I would rather have it be totaled though than have a repaired car that has bodywork done to it at least you can get something in mint condition

I've lived in eastern PA my whole life and in 36 years I can count the number of times I've seen hail on the fingers of one hand, but I have never seen anything like what happened yesterday. Walking outside after it was over was like viewing a warzone. Car alarms and emergency sirens going off everywhere, people walking around in a daze...it was totally surreal.

The more I think about it the more I hope they total it. I love my car, but I know no matter how much work they put into it that car will never be the same after that much destruction.

Wow, that's F-ed up.

I can't imagine that insurance will give too much trouble over it. I've had my coverage with the same company for 20 years, and they have never been anything other than prompt, courteous, and easy to work with.

I am a little worried though that if and when they do total it I won't be given the opportunity to get any of my audio equipment out. I've never had a total loss and I'm not fully clear on how the whole process actually works. I'm working to educate myself today.
