You've pretty much blasted everything the sport package offers. Looks like a decision to me.

Well I just need an input from the non sports package brakes...and also the open diff....because those two items I really want....but of course are they even worth it for my driving conditions?

no, but as small as it is, has limited or zero functionality, added weight for aesthetic charm, which doesnt appeal to me.

Apparently Nissan thought otherwise (improvements in coefficient of Drag and lift reduction have been discussed by the enthusiast press).....But I digress. You're welcome to your opinion.

the drag coefficient is the same as the 350 sans spoiler. I'll post the chart when I find it. Ah, here it is. http://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/automo...ag_coefficient

Ready, Fire, Aim!

I guess you missed this entry just below the one you cite:

0.30 Nissan 370Z Coupe
(0.29 with sport package) 2009

But you're still welcome to your "opinion"...

It sound like u not very serious about sport drivin. U a red light racer.
So u can do a base no sport. Get hawk sport brake pads. Eibach springs to drop your car an inch.
Then rim.your tires to your ideal spec. U will be good.
But ur kind usually causes accidents. So please. Just be smart bout the way u drive.
U can street race but hit up the street racin spots. Don't wild out in a residential.

I don't have time to read through these posts because the answer is so obvious, the sport package is totally worth the money. Just try and buy similar rims alone and that will cost you as much as the entire package.

I agree, probably the best deal for any package, for any car.

Given what you're after, skip the sport package. most of what you're looking to do is aftermarket the items that are included in the sport package, so why bother?

I bought the sport package because of the wheels and spoilers, everything else is bonus.

It seems like the only things you want on the sport package are the brakes and the LSD. both of which can be added from the after market with better results. i would say get the base and upgrade later, 3 grand will get most of what you want (without install). But one thing to consider is that driving is a lot like sex, every man thinks he is the best at it - Jeremy Clarkson. No matter how good you think you are at heal toeing the SRM will be better unless you are on a professional level ( even if you track all the time).

well heres the thing...I would LIKE the sport brakes and also the LSD...however my ultimate goal is to run 17s and the sports brakes will not accommodate 17 inch wheels....why do I want to run 17s? cheaper tires, cheaper rims, much more selection of lightweight wheels...etc etc....I do agree they will look ugly *** hell compared to 19s or 20s...but honestly, i could careless how my car looks...as long as I'm smoking on a straight line...and handling like rails on the twisties...i'm okay with 17s....

now with the VLSD...this is going to be the problem...I see that most aftermarket clutch type LSDs are north of 1k...pretty damn expensive....I was just wondering if the stock open diff would be okay for me...like I said earlier, I do not plan to track or auto-x....none of that time attack BS...just aggressive street driving....
