I'm a blue collar worker and bought the Z now managers who drive Fords 250's and other trucks look at me with envy....go figure and I have to agree with everyone else when it comes to ppl wanting to race, even a Hyundai
Accent GT revs his engine and flies by me like I would spend my gas trying to keep up with him

My Nismo gets a fair bit of attention, but nothing like my Cobra. Here is a shot of them together at the dyno shop. Nismo made 321 at the wheels, the Cobra make 516hp at the wheels (and weighs 2187 lbs).

I love driving the Cobra and it's a lot of fun to pull up to a light when a fast car is already at the light waiting. I like to shop short beside them and watch them get all nervous and sh@t when they can hear it but can't see it.

I would never brake check anyone ever, but have been known to turn on the headlights (during the day) or get the sudden urge to wash my windshield.

Dang man, that cobra must be a cannon. I was pissed the day I created this thread but since then I'm cool. Thanks for all the replies, this is probably the first thread I ever made that has lasted this long. Must have hit a soft spot. I'm stoked to have my Z and appreciate you all for your responses and having me here in your forums. There, now ya'll should feel that emotion from this text lol

Guess i'm late to the party.

I get this a lot here in AZ, not so much people egging me on but people are so aggressive around me when I drive my Z. If i'm in my pathfinder everything seems normal. I feel like it's because of my exhaust, maybe when i'm accelerating from a stop, people think i'm trying to race but i'm not even trying obviously lol.

But yeah, people just seem more aggressive, always have to pass me, or accelerate faster, etc. I just ignore them and it ends up entertaining me.

Some bitch in a corolla earlier today was up my arse in a 15mph school zone. After school zone ended she blew her horn at me mind you I was in the right driving lane all this time.

I duly wound my window down and noted she had a NY tag. So I yelled what you blowing your horn for you northern ****? LOL

Every one wants to think they are Tazio Nuvolari around the Z. Reality is a relative thing I guess. It's a Walter Mitty world.

The one thing I hate about the Z? Horrible rear visibility. Turning left and merging onto traffic at an angle sucks. Aside from that, I love it.

Yea that is sometimes a problem. The blindspot on the right is more troublesome for me. I have adjusted mirrors as far as reasonable and there is still, just a bit, of spot. Gotta pay attention.

But... that's kinda what the Z is all about isn't. It is not a freeway boat. It is a "drivers" car. That's one of the main reasons I bought it.

Really? I guess it depends on how you sit because I too have adjusted my mirrors and totally eliminated my blindspot!

If you're commuting with heavy traffic -- especially in So Cal -- then I highly recommend convex mirrors for your side mirrors.

Yeah I know that your Great Aunt had them on her Coupe De Ville, but they've saved me many times from side swiping idiots who insist on sitting in my blind spot.

If someone is riding shotgun and moves the seat back, the quarter window disappears for me. Not a big problem on the road (one should be aware of other vehicles well before they get to any blind spots), but can be a PITA in parking lots/driveways/&c, even when the passenger seat back is not blocking it.

I have seen you post this before, and it definitely depends upon one's seating position. I can not eliminate all blind spots with my stock mirrors. It has been quite the aggravation. But it hasn't been as aggravating as my being unable to get my wife and son to position their side mirrors properly despite years of trying

This. When I picked up my Z and I was driving it home with my wife in the passenger seat, I did not even realize there was a quarter window there until she pointed out (after a couple of hours) something she was looking at outside the quarter window on my side.

The problem this presents for me is when I'm stopped at an intersection that is not quite "square." I can not see if there is oncoming traffic from my right.
